i don't really follow cable politics and the whatnot, but from what i understand the sec's contract with espn will be paying out the same ten years from now as it does today, whereas the big ten network is already raking in mad dosh even though it wasn't expected to turn a profit for a few years.

then again, that's just the impression i've gotten while glancing through a few things and not anything i can actually back up.

I think the use of "pantheon" is a little rough. What he means is "hierarchy" in that the Big Ten should accept their lesser status to the MG. Pantheon, literally "all the Gods"....tends to have a valorizing or elevating sense of usage--the esteemed if not divine elements of the past. Not a word you use to indicate a subordinate relationship, IMO. If he means that the SEC has eclipsed the Big Ten in the present and thereby consigning the Big Ten to the past, irrelevance or archaism....pantheon is still not a good choice. Generally speaking, diminished importance is not the sense of "pantheon" as much as an abiding respect for the greats of the past....mythic, divine, or whatever.

What I meant was pantheon being a three syllable word.

back on topic, UK may be hell on wheels on the club ice but those gals are 3rd rate. all respect to them as people, of course.

Oklahoma is apparently pretty good in club hockey, against whomever. CU's club team draws 1500 to play CSU.....and there's a lot of wishing that CU make a D-1 commitment to hockey since CO is a pretty active hockey state and U of Denver and Colorado College are very good hockey programs at smaller to very small schools.

She went to USF first, then went and graduated from FSU.

I find it odd that they don't play USF in hockey.
