U&L, baby

A glorious day to be a U&L sports fan.

Even though the Ducks just started playing baseball again last year, they're in the postseason, as are the Beavs.

The Ducks are going to win the Track and Field Championship.

The Ducks are going to the Golf Championship today as the #1 seed (Casey Martin has that program kicked into overdrive). The Beavs are in it as well (as are 6 other PAC10 teams... the Meatgrinder of Golf).

Right now, Linfield College is behind in thier baseball game -- if they pull off the comeback, they play for the D3 championship this afternoon.

I'd say one state seems to PWN the spring sports this year.

If Casey had two working legs... we wouldn't spend nearly so much time talking about Tiger and Lefty these days.

Apparently the Pac10 has the top three seeds. Oregon, Stanford and Washington, in that order.

For the whole school year, Oregon and Oregon State combined won't catch Stanford....

Well now, guess I'll take the bait...

The Aggies baseball team win the Big XII tourney for the 3rd time in 4 years and begin the regional round in Coral Gables on Friday for their 26th post-season appearance.

A&M Men AND Women track and field are ranked #1. Both won it all last year. Both intend to win it all again IN Oregon this year.

Oh, and those pesky Aggie golfers who won it all last year as well are back to defend their crown.

And Dins don't forget about Wazzu, ranked and headed to Arkansas as the #2 seed in that region. I know they're north (well east, but you get my point) of Columbia as far as your rooting interests are concerned, but anytime U'Dub is the lone NW Pac-10 team feeling left out of anything good, it's always a cause for a toast.

You have of course neglected to mention the Mizzou ladies totally pwning the Duck bitches in the NCAA softball super regionals, thus earning back to back trips to the CWS.

Yeah, it was reminicent of the beatdown that Duck b-ball took on the hardwood last December. You remember that 25 point clubbing? Sure you do. Mizzou fans have a new nickname for Oregon. The Baby Seals.

And before you go mashing out some take about chicks with dicks, realize that both you and I know that had they beaten the Lady Tigers, in Columbia no less, you'd be crowing about that as well.

And btw, you can't have our softball coach either.

So how did that work out, any way?
