I will most likely only see B&S as they are playing at Constitution Hall in the District. AF would be a doable trip, I'd just have to find someone else to go and split the cost. I last saw B&S at Merriweather in 06 when I also thought I wanted to move to Baltimore. Mgo hooked up the good seats and we were 10 feet from the stage. I think they'll be breaking out some new shit, but I don't think they have an album coming out anytime soon.
I like the new Arcade Fire song "Suburbs," and it will be interesting to see which path they take with their new album, or if they come out with something really off the map.

Taking into consideration your horrific musical “tastes”, I’m pleased to see that neither of these dubious ensembles will come closer to God’s Country than Chicago. Hopefully you’ll be stomped to death in a mosh pit.

Other than the rare band, nobody worth two shits ever plays Wisconsin anyway. And the comma goes inside the quotation, you fucking moron.

Incorrect.
You were, presumably, "educated" in the SEC. We applaud you for learning what a pencil does. You get a pass on that thar complicated stuff.
I assume Goobs was educated somewhere north of the Mason-Dixon, in which case a little more is expected of him -- such as correct placement of commas, which he seems to be struggling with.

Not really. The last time we had this stupid discussion, I found links supporting the comma placement as I made it in this thread. I believe, however, that this link was probably from the UK, as they are more likely to "place commas and periods logically rather than conventionally, depending on whether the punctuation belongs to the quotation or to the sentence that contains the quotation, just as we do with question marks and exclamation points."
Just so you know, I did all of my grade school overseas and learned the King's English. I know I've subsequently forgotten some of it, but the punctuation thing sticks with me. But now I basically mix and match, doing it one way today, the other way tomorrow, as I know how much it seems to irritate you. Cheerio.

You were right about the question mark. You are wrong about the comma. EOS.

A mosh mit at an Arcade Fire show makes about as much sense as a a barbecue pit at a PETA convention.

I didn't say the mosh pit had to be at an Arcade Fire show, nitwit. Quit mischaracterizing my posts.

I really don’t know or care what groups Screwball likes, I just suggested that he die in a mosh pit. Any mosh pit. Go braid someone else’s asshairs, you message board tick.

I listened to samples from both bands. The best I can say is that both are better than MGMT, but from what I heard, both sound more like pop than rock. But I suppose they’re probably both big with the transgendered demographic.

Here's a sample of live Arcade Fire.
OK, it's not a sample. It's the full broadcast of Arcade Fire's legendary Austin City Limits appearance during the "Funeral" tour. Sorry Goobs if it doesn't sound like it was lifted straight from the soundtrack of "Dazed & Confused".
Fast forward to the 2:00 mark to skip over the PSB promos.
Good call, B. But that's actually from the 2007 Neon Bible tour.

Belle and Sebastian could certainly be categorized as chamber pop.

My personal favorite live moment is Crown of Love from a 2005 show they did for a Berlin radio broadcast. The first part of the show the audience is laid back and almost blase. By the time they finish Crown of Love, the audience is on fire. It is a truly transcendent moment that I regret Goober will never appreciate.
But I won't waste much breath arguing against Neighborhood #3/Rebellion either. Those songs rock.
01. Neighborhood #2
02. No Cars Go
03. Haiti
04. My Heart is an Apple
05. Sleeping in a Submarine (SSN 680)
06. Crown of Love
07. Neighborhood #1 (Tunnels)
08. Une Annee Sans Lumiere
09. Neighborhood #3 (Power Out)
10. Rebellion (Lies)
11. Wake Up
12. In The Backseat

Holy shit, I just watched Screwball’s video link. Total Canuckian musical wankery. You’re right, I’ll never appreciate that. Their audience should be on fire. Like a Great White concert.
