Frappe ? Now if you're up in Maine and order a "frappe" you'll get served what I call a "milk shake" or "shake". If you want a milk shake in Rhode Island you had best ask for a "cabinet". Now I haven't been in New England in a few years and that may have all changed. If I go to McD's and ask for a "frappe" what will I be getting ?

So, you like your Presidents the same way you like your coffee...?

Starbucks' regular coffee tastes like shit because they burn them all with their special "Starbucks over-roast" . Basically this means every bean of their's tastes like French Roast, or in other words, burnt to a fucking crisp. Hence the nickname "Charbucks". Good coffee shops/chains know that the secret to a kickass cup is that every coffee bean or blend has its own ideal roast.

The three best coffee[/i] chains I've found are Peet's, Diedrich's and Seattle's Best. All three treat coffee roasting like it's sacred, unlike Starbucks, who think they can run serve you hot brown cat piss and act like you're an asshole if you don't burst into song after the first sip.

If you grind your own at home, consider ordering some off of Diedrichs website. You can't go wrong.

Funny stuff... since it's made in the same place by the same people.

Sucks when you get duped by the PR department, eh?

The best coffee comes from http://www.stumptowncoffee.com , or so the coffee magazines always claim.

Wow, talk about a non-statistic. Are you saying that they're incapable of roasting beans for different companies to different specifications? Ah, nevermind...I'm sure you have a buddy's ex-girlfriend's one-time-experimental lesbian lover who once roasted coffee there that will back you up on this. :D

Sucks when you get duped by the PR department, eh?

Not sure what this means. I can't remember the last time I've seen a commercial or ad for any coffee chain. But I have bought a fuckton of whole bean coffee from Charbucks, Seattle's Best and the others I mentioned, which is what I based my comments on.

With Seattle's Best, their coffee has the flavor that the name on the front of the bag indicates that it should. That doesn't seem like a lot to ask.

With the exception of Gold Coast, Starbucks' coffee all tastes like French Roast _______ because they burn the shit out of it. But hey, if I ever want a bag of French Roast Costa Rican coffee, I know right where to go.

Starbucks is ok, but I wish they'd sell drip coffee in a flavor other that Pike Place Roast (I'd prefer #1 Verona #2 Sumatra).

What I really miss is Blue Mountain Coffee. One of these days I'll have to make a return trip to Jamaica just for the coffee.

The most overrated, overpriced coffee on the planet.
