2 mechanical fails in one day

Spent the morning trying to fix the automatic window on the passenger side of my Chevy S-10 and the afternoon trying to get the AC to work in this used travel trailer i bought from the in-laws last April.
Fail 1.After finding all the hidden screws i got the door panel off without breaking any snap doohickies. Peeled the protective layer back that covered the motor mechanism/gearing etc. Is it held together in a farmer friendly manner?...NO, FUCKING pop-rivets holding the motor to the mechanical mechanism that lifts and lowers the window. Hammer, punch, drillbit, vise grips I got the pop rivets out. Fuck me, but I couldnt get the sliding armature off the bottom of the window. Mangled the shit out of the tin on the door...medal shavings everywhere. Couldnt find the angle that i needed to get that bitch out. Pissed, I put it all back together, 1/4" bolts in place of the drilled out pop rivets and called it a morning. Fucking window works...just sometimes it wont go down without slamming the door whilst you are pushing down on the button...thought i could make an improvement on it, guess not.
Fail 2. The AC (Steve Sax story needed) worked fine when I bought the Travel trailer from the inlaws last April. Brought the bitch home, parked it, did a couple things to it then got real busy on the farm. Busy time done, i went back to work on figureing shit out on this thing today and i cant get the ac to do shit. No fan, nothing. I'm no electrical wiz, but I checked voltage across the breaker, checked my grounds, frayed wires ect... no dice. It only works off of house power or a suitable generator. Call the inlaws tomorow for clues i guess.
Ill spend the rest of evening pondering and having a couple/few natty lights, perhaps stirring the McGyver in me to find a solution.
