Yeah, but equal revenue sharing to keep traditions and conferences alive is socialism.

It's not me writing the article or putting words in Tubberville's piehole.
I'm as happy as pig in mud we're not under the rule of Texas. I ain't got shit to "get over".
You act as if we were tossed from the conference. We left a sinking ship.
Deal with Tubberville's accurate view.
Maybe you need to get over it.

Tubberville is lucky to have a job. No one wanted him. Tech needed a name and went after the first one that they thought would give them some relevance.
This is what happens when a bunch of bleeding cunt democrats get involved with sports. Let the big boys (Texas, OU and A&M) do the work and then everyone gets an equal share. Like a bunch of lazy morons who are too stupid to do the work for themselves, they want the schools that people actually care about to make them their money. Forget the fact that they do nothing to raise the spotlight for the conference. Forget that no one outside of their university cities gives a flying fuck about them.....forget that they can't sell merchandise. Would you pay $85 to see Iowa State? If you want to see it in Austin you will. But here's the thing, the stadium holds 100K and it sold out every game. Iowa State gets what 45K to a game at what $35-$40 a ticket? Yeah, they should get more money for doing nothing.
The Nebraska guys forget one thing that is very important. At the beginning of the conference (The Big XII) Nebraska was opposed to equal revenue sharing. You reap what you sow. Sow, FUCK OFF and enjoy riding bitch in the Big 10. No one in the Big XII care about you.

This goes out to Harv:
"I don't think this conference will last long because there is too much disparity between all the teams," Tuberville told host Bill King. "In the SEC, for instance, Vanderbilt makes as much money in the television contract as Florida. Everybody is good with it. Everybody is on the same page. Everyone gets the same votes."
Sincerely,
Tommy T.
Strike a nerve? Was this too real for you and the collection of bottom-feeders (other than OU,AM,and maybe tejas tech and mizzou)?
Judging from your post....I think so! And so does the rest of the nation. Let's not forget how fucked Texas' reputation is. Enjoy shopping around for a ANY conference that will accept you and your demands. Enjoy the WAC in a few years....or kneel down to the inevitable..... The super conferences will tell you to get fucked the way Nebraska already has. You're Texas but you're NOT Notre Dame.

No. I could give a shit what a 3rd rate SEC reject coach thinks. He coaches at Texas Tech. He has about as much of a chance of winning the Big XII and a MNC as say a 4th rate Big XII reject that is now sucking Ohio State, Michigan, Penn St. and Michigan State's collective cocks.

Maybe in Nebraska but the rest of the nation thinks that we were smart in what we did. Only dumb ass children of the corn have anything negative to say. But let's be honest....if NU could have had Texas' deal they wouldn't have left. You were our BITCH. Plain and simple.

Really? If we wanted to go to the PAC-10 we could go tomorrow. If we wanted to go to the SEC, we could go tomorrow. Nebraska hasn't done shit. Just like their record on the field for the last 10 years. And you are right, we are not Notre Dame because we actually matter and we win shit.
Now let go of your hate. No one gives a fuck about Nebraska. If you need to, go change your dog's name to Texas and go beat him if it will make you feel better. It would be the only way you could beat Texas at anything.

he probably just threw that salvo out there to prepare the fan base for a rough landing.

for the record, the rest of the nation could give a fuck about texas.

Maybe you and I have a different interruption of "get over."
To me someone needs to get over something when an incident or action doesn't go their way and they obsess over it.
I'm
glad NU is moving to the Big 10 for
security and equality in distribution of funds to all members from TV revenue and a governing body that recognizes all members concerns (i.e. location of championship games). I don't feel the haves should take advantage of the have nots when the haves need the have nots when it comes to affiliation and competition.
Texas needs the members of the Big 12 to hold their empire together, or they could bolt to another conference, but of course they will no longer be the "foreman" and highest paid guy on the job site. Something unthinkable to Texas.
Again, I don't begrudge Texas for what their doing, if they can pull it off and other teams line up behind them, more power to them. It benefits them, why not do it.
I'm just glad Nebraska isn't one of those teams.
And it's my opinion that the conference is a house of cards because of it's structure (or lack thereof) and a very weak commissioner, as it is Tubberville's apparently. I felt it was college football news, so I posted it and yes it falls in line with my stance but I'm not obsessed with the recent realignment. I'm betting this is just the beginning over the next 2-3 years and I hope you would not hold it against me if I have an opinion, no matter how much different it may be from your own.
I'm glad we talked.
Boomer Sooner I guess..

Good for you. Why do you care so much about Texas then? It's all you ever post about. I'd would think if you were "over it," you would be more focused on the matchups with your new best buddies in the Big 10...but you aren't.

no reason to ftfy.
i never thought i'd say this, but Colorado fan has taken this alignment thing in a much less whiny-bitch way than NU. your sniping about "judas" and continued complaint about OU not choosing NU as it's "rival" sounds like a John Hughes prom movie from the 80's.
i don't make the rules about it, but Oklahoma and Texas have played for 100 years *and* Oklahoma has an in-state rival. NU doesn't have either of those type deals.

This would be like Notre Dame bitching that Michigan didn't make them their rival, when they have a longer and richer history with OSU, and MSU as an instate rival. I guess the difference is that ND would tell Michigan to get fucked istead of acting like a whiney bitch about it.

It's less obsession and more amazement about the collection of pillow-biters with no pride. Tejas ruined the Big 8 and now they've ruined the Big 12. Texas will end up somewhere after the Big 12 lite collapses and the rest of "ya'll" are left holding the bag and scrambling. Enjoy. Even the man who brought us all together (Rome) agrees with T.O.
The future is bright and I can't wait until our billionaire (richest man on planet earth depending on what month it is) kicks some cayesh NU's way.

Umm...Nebraska DID tell Texas and their demands to get fucked. The rest of the country is slowly catching on to what's going on in Cuntsville Tejas and the collection of bootlickers who still enable them. Rome, Tubberville, on and on.
Texas will get embarrassed in Lincoln this year. Bet on it.

Seems we heard the same thing 4 years ago. Texas breaking in a new Frosh QB, Nebraska was back, etc. That didn't work out so well.
I am trying to get an assignment to cover that game this season. Nebraska should win this game but my gut says it will be close. The Epcot melt of Husker fans if Texas pulls the upset will provide stories for a month.
