Market value is what somebody is willing to pay for the product or commodity. The main problem that I see is that, in the unlikely event of any future gold confiscation, there is no guarantee that collectible coins would be exempted.

Any of you folks holding onto some gold ? I have a few gold coins that I stashed for a dire economic emergency. I also have a bit of gold and platinum in my mouth if I need it. I know my stocks are worth shit and I have a very small amount of cash in a savings account. If the shit hits the fan, and it can, we are all going to be hurting.
