Went to Mayhem Festival in raleigh, nc on tuesday...what a fucking show...

got there early and missed the 1st act on one of the side stages (3 inches of Blood)...but got to check out In This Moment, Atreyu, Norma Jean, Chimmara, Shadows Fall...

Shadows Fall really impressed me...kind of a Killswitch Engage feel, and Jason Bittner is a fucking demon on the kit...Atreyu surprised me...very cool...

The main stage acts Fiver Finger Death Punch, Lamb of God, Zombie and Korn...

Five Finger - actually surprised me...the musicianship was very tight, and the front man can really hold/work a crowd...
Lamb of God - one of the 2 I really came to see...UN FUCKING REAL...Randy (front man) is incredible...Chris Adler could be one of the best drummers in music today (as far technical, speed, etc)...only 8 songs...but off the fucking hook
Zombie - never cared much for all of his music...but what a FUCKING show...awesome...dude can work the crowd...and John 5 is a fucking shredder...Joey Jordison was drumming for them...awesome
KORN - My all time fave...FUCKING AWESOME...they can still fucking bring it...Ray Luzier (new drummer)...can absolutely kick it...sorry David (former drummer)...but Ray is much better for this band...very intense and just incredible...Jonathan can still belt it out...I just wish Head was still with the band...

anyway...great day of music for me...going to see Lamb of God Monday the 9th in Myrtle Beach...at the House of Blues...small venue...I can't wait

Sounds like you had a good time, buckeye. I think that tour is going to be up here in NO VA this weekend. I have a friend who is big into Lamb of God as well. I leave that heavy shit to you guys.

Screw...they are awesome live...I mean the 4 frontmen on this tour are awesome...

Zombie really surprised me...I am not into his music much...but he and his band put on an awesome show...I am seeing LOG at HOB and can't wait...
