I think my hearing is still there...what a fucking show...
Kicking it off was 3 Inches of Blood - out of Vancouver, Canada...think Iron Maiden on STERIODS x like 1000...not bad...although the singer must have a vise on his balls to get that high on the register
then came Hatebreed...never have seen them live...HOLY FUCK...wow...just blew the doors off...singer is just a ball of energy...musicianship is pretty tight...
then the MAIN EVENT....FUCKING LAMB OF GOD...I bought randy a shot and a beer prior to the show (the lead singer)...which was cool...holy fuck...they tore the mother f ing roof off...Just awesome...I got to hear a few of my faves...Blacken The Cursed Sun, Hourglass, Omerta, Descending...plus the other more popular ones...FUCKING A...my hearing is still there I think...

I love Lamb of God. I caught them a few years ago with Soilwork, DevilDriver and Killswitch Engage. My favorite is Laid to Rest. Great riff.
I got my tickets for Anthrax, Slayer, Megadeth and Testament. I cannot wait to see Testament. Their last album was a masterpiece. If you do not have it, get it. It is called "The Formation of Damnation". Check out "The Persecuted Won't Forget" and "Henchmen Ride"

Harv...one of my faves as well...especially when the break comes and that bass chord just blows up at about 2:14 into the song...fucking Chris Adler is a fucking demon behind the kit...this cat sat with a metronome and would practice single stroke rolls going up in 5 bpm increments for like 3-6 hours a day while getting ready to record Wrath...
they fucking tore the roof off at HOB...Killswitch does as well although the last time I saw Killswitch Phil LaBante from As I Lay Dying filled in for Howard...
Love Megadeth live...would love to see Anthrax...is Joey Belladona doing vocals?

Joey is back. The only person missing is Danny Spitz. The last time I saw them was when they opened for Metallica on Master of Puppets at Forest Nationale in Brussels. Anthrax was out supporting Among the Living. Great show.
Check out the Testament is you get a chance. I guarantee you will like it.

I'm going to Slayer/Megadeth/Testament next weekend. Can't wait to see the show, but not sure I agree with Harv on Formation of Damnation. I was as stoked as anyone to see the original Testament lineup get back together, but I was underwhelmed with that album. I would recommend The New Order, The Legacy, Practice What You Preach, hell, even, Low, Demonic or that one with Lombardo over Formation.

I like the older albums. I loved Practice. Great album. Great Metal is so far and few between. I love the new Testament. Having Alex back makes a difference. I loved the riffs and the killer solos.

Never was a huge Testament fan...but will check out some more...
THe thing about these metal core bands...the musicianship is pretty tight...I mean when you have dual guitars in the harmonics, etc...and then when I see a cat like Chris Adler (for my money one of the best drummers out there right now)...and the shit he comes up with and can play at all different speeds, etc...just awesome...
