Harbaugh: Hmmm... do I want to live in beautiful Palo Alto, or Ann Abhor?
How much money you got, UM?

In all seriousness, I know Jim Harbaugh is the new hotness for UofM fans, but I don't know if he would make the move. His father was an NFL coach, his brother is an NFL coach, and I think that's where his ultimate goal lies.

I don't think you have to worry about UofM, or anyone, trying to get Les away from LSU.

A) I doubt Ann Assbore is nicer than Palo Alto (never been to AA)
B) Palo Alto isn't next to the ocean. I think the word you were looking for was "bay."

It's Captain Comeback's job, no question. With the changing of the guard at AD, gone is the spat between Jimmy and UM. He's maize and Blue to the core and would love nothing more than to resurrect the program. UM=much larger stage, much better facilities and recruitability, and the place where Harbaugh enjoyed the best times of his life...Stanford=cute little program that could. No contest. He'd be a Bo man, a Michigan man, an no-brainer, and UM has A LOT more coin than Stanford to throw around.

If Luck stays another season, then Harbaugh stays too.
I don't think the Michigan Alum will give DickRod another season just so they can wait on Harbaugh should he stay with Luck.
They'll probably have a knee jerk reaction to the offensive style DickRod put out there and hire a defensive minded coach or someone who will go back to the pro style they are so accustom to.
I lost all respect for Les Miles when he threw Jefferson under the bus when he told the media he didn't tell his QB to "clock it" at the end of the Ole Miss game. Fuck him. He doesn't diserve the job.

i've spent about four days of my life in california. fuck california.
of course you've never been to aa. it sounds like you haven't been much anywhere save the pnw. i'm not going to argue that it's not god's country since a good ol' douglas fir is enough to make me lock the washroom door, but, uh, there are trees and water and shit just about everywhere.
the basis of every post i've seen you make is geography. you live in tigard, oregon. hmm. i don't pretend to know jim harbaugh's motivations, but i'm going to assume returning his alma mater to glory probably weighs more heavily on any hypothetical decision than oh this palo alto mcdonald's is so much nicer than the ann arbor mcdonald's does.

It has to be Harbaugh. The program will need a knight in shining armor. If this year is a disaster (as feared), it sets up to be great chance for him to ride in a savior, not as a successor of long-time coach had he followed Lloyd. RichRod came in having to either match or beat what Lloyd did while coach but instead has driven the program into the ground. Harbaugh would get some leeway to rebuild and he'll be a hero if he can get them back to being a top 15 program and also, how about making that rivalry with the school to the south a little more competitive, please?
If it isn't him...g0d help them.

If Michigan is looking for a coach at the end of this season, I think it would likely be Harbaugh....if he's interested. I assume he would be interested in returning to his Alma Mater but he would have to assess the situation and decide how long it would take to return the Wolverines to glory, but no one can speak for Harbaugh or to his opinion as to how long that might take. He would be a good choice, imo, but there are also other good coaches out there, not named Les Miles, who would be interested in a job the calibur of Michigan.

All over The Great Northwest, covered big chunks of california, Nevada, and some Aridzona... and England. Been to BC a few times, but not for years.
I split between Tigard and St. Johns-btw... lovely neighborhood. The sad part is, I've had more crime problems in Tigard than in NoPo (which has been zero). Get a free pass in the hood, can't keep the tweekers out of the unattended house in Tigard -- go figure.
