Except that if he hadn't been from the SEC, you wouldn't GARA.
Hey, Mr. Bradford didn't look too bad either. I think I'll go start a thread about him. Or not, probably not.
Maybe I'll start a thread about Mr. Stafford... oops, can't do it. That'd be infringing upon SEC territory.

I think Dennis Dixon's performance against Denver's first team is all you need to know about the value of watching a 3rd stringer beating on other scrubs in garbage time. Let me know when Tebow's release is timed with something other than a calender and we can talk.

Nice.
Couple of points.
1. I think McDaniels loves Tebow and secretly wants sex with him. So yeah, I think he's itchin' to get him into action.
2. McDaniels, douche that he is, knows Tebow isn't ready yet.
3. Kyle Orton is a steady QB and is the best option for the Donk's right now. McDaniels, twit that he is, also knows this.
4. Did Sam say Tebow will be the next Horeseface in Dungver??
bwaaaa ...

Not unreasonable, at this point.
It would be rather easy to find out early on if he is indeed the next Mr. Ed...
Put Tebow under center, and have Joe Montana walk into the stadium. If Tebow curls up into the fetal position and starts bawling, then he's obviously The Next John Elway.

I've seen Spikes becoming a real-deal NFL stud for a couple of years.
And since my batting average of picking NFL studs based on their CFB career is well below the Mendoza Line...
Sorry, Brandon -- you're cursed.
I'm still pretty confident about DonkeyKong, though... being a U&L boy and whatnot.
Although I did see good things for Percy Harvin [/Gatorpuke]... but I did balance that out by thinking Leak would make a decent NFL QB. Never bet on a midget.

Not a chance. It's pretty clear from their actions that 2012 is the plan for Tebow. They wouldn't have extended Orton last week if they felt like Tebow could push him this year.
The only way it would happen is if Orton got put on IR.

Nice backtrack... and I don't blame you.
He could win ROY, but he'll never be John Elway. I had to watch that fuck beat my team for too damn many years. There will never be another John Elway, just like there will never be another Joe Montana.

Personally, I think Tebow might have some success in the NFL at some point.
The next Elway, though, is a wack take, imo.
But as always, we'll have to wait 10 years - by which time Sam may be dead and off the hook for this one.

It really is.
In 4 years at Florida (3 starting), I don't ever recall him blaming all his mistakes on his teammates... although I guess I can kinda picture him trying to sell me a POS used car.

It says that Elway was good enough to get subpar teams to the Superbowl.

Not really -- the AFCwas garbage during those years, and the Donks typically built a very good defense, since It Wasn't My Fault always came up short when it mattered.
Most overrated player in history.

we're you watching that game?
a couple of good throws and one good run does not a hall of fame QB make
if they don't get some help on the o-line, develop a productive running game, and get a consistent big time deep threat receiver, Tebow is going to end up being roadkill....

The ability to play in the NFL.

Huh? McNabb, while a good athlete, can also stand tall in the pocket and deliver bullets down field with accuracy. Tebow can only do that in his dreams. Manning is your prototypical dropback passer. That is the style of qb that thrives in the NFL. He also happens to come from a family that squirts out pretty decent quarterbacks. Not sure why the success of either of those guys would surprise you.

Personally, I don't think Sam is completely nuts here.
It looks bad for Teblow right now, yes.
The guy is hyper-competetive, he's a very good athlete, he's a worker, he keeps himself very fit, he's mobile, he's smart... oh, and he's got that delivery. haha
Well, does he have more going for him than say, Doug Flutie?
I would prolly say so.
Flutie posted a 38-28 record as an NFL starter and he even made one pro-bowl.
It's way too early to write Teblow off.
That's all I'm saying.

You make it sound like the guy is Ryan Fitzpatrick or something. I'm not going to call him a 1st ballot HOFer or anything but he's been regarded as a top 5-10 qb throughout his career by most. Certainly much higher regarded than "merely competent," anyway.

He also did lead his team to the Super Bowl and was picked for the Pro Bowl 6 times.
