I like the old school football tactics, so this is just another football play to me. Now I believe the soft hearted, like feelsdix, will say there's no place for that kind of play in the NFL. There are a lot of people who agree with Feelsdix, and most importantly, those people are in the NFL front office. So I do think he will be fined, but not suspended.

If I am Lion fan, I LOVE seeing this play.
I WANT my D-Line to have a group of big mean uglies who seek to hurt other human beings.
The official called, "Personal foul, #90, half the distance to the goal."
I took it as a facemask call - because he didn't say unnecessary roughness.
So all we got on the field was a flagarant facemask call.
Suh definitely slung Jake down like a wet jizz mop after the ball was already gone, and depending on how you look at it, it might have been (prolly was) over-the-top vicious.
I'm expecting a fine but no suspension.

I'm with DF here. I like that shit. I loved the "Bad Boys" Pistons.
But yeah, he will be fined.

You mean kind of like this?
Fucking moron. Other than the 15 yard face mask, and the unnecessary roughness, I don't see what the big deal is.
Cleveland still blows.

Keep nibbling Screwy. I didn't say it was a clean play. That play oozed old school football which is what the Lions need.

DonkeyKong was just saying "Hello, Jake," in his own friendly way...
By committing multiple penalties in a 3 second span.
Fine him a few bucks, and forget about it.
Looks like it's gonna be tough to keep My Boy out of the backfield.

Not only is he a physical nightmare to contend with, he's got a mean streak to match.
Damn, I want that guy on my team.

Who doesn't?
But your team's rookie wasn't exactly well known for taking it easy on guys in his CFB days... he's just not quite so big.

He got what he deserved with the 15 yard penalty for the facemask.

Once you guys are done sucking the dude's dick, I hope you realize the only "message" sent was one to the league's offensive lineman, regarding the big fucking bulls-eyes being painted on Su's kneepads.
There's a reason you don't see too many "messages" being sent like that.

wouldn't really call that a "hit".

I laughed when I saw it...I'm sure he'll get fined for it since you can't touch QBs anymore.
I love the added snarl to this team with Suh and Vanden Bosch. They've not had a true old school badass on defense since Spielman. Louis Delmas (sup Screw) is on the come as well but I hope he's not already on the same path as Bob Sanders where he's going to be deal with nagging injuries since he throws his body around with no regard for his well being.

He should have been ejected. If he's that fucking stupid, he doesn't belong on the field.
Somebody needs make that brainless primate understand that, while football is a violent contact sport, unleashing your inner chimp and ragdolling players around by the head and neck is not considered acceptable behavior and could result in very serious injury.
Just to be proactive, they should also carefully explain to him that jumping up and down on the chest of a quarterback is not an acceptable sack dance and that flinging poo at the opposing bench will be frowned upon.

I'll have to look at the Lions schedule before I agree with this.

He's a dumbshit and and should have been ejected. He knew he had the facemask, then tried to take the pumpkin home with him. My guess is he'll get off with just a fine

'Dumb' is the only tone set by that play. It wasn't tough or old school or intimidating. It was an oafish, double scoop of stupid with a cherry on top. On second thought, that probably will be the tone they set for this season.
No poise, no control, no intelligence....no chance in hell.
4-12

If the other 9 guys on the Chiefs' defense flew around and wanted to hit offensive players as hard as Eric Berry and fellow rookie safety Kendrick Lewis does, they would be a MUCH better defense.
