Cliff Harris scored his 3rd TD of the season -- he hasn't lined up on offense at any point.

I don't think it's just the SEC speed. I noticed that Bobby Bowden (appearing on Gameday) picked Miami over tOSU based on "southern speed" and said that southern schools have more speed than the northern schools. Herbstreit correctly pointed out that tOSU might also have some speed. Looks like it's more of a south vs north issue than simply an SEC perception. There used to be a perception that the Pac had more speed than the Big 10 too (and it was true at one time) but that myth has also been dispelled. We're no longer living in the 70's.

I didnt hear the Rocky Toppers chanting "SEC, SEC, SEC". I half expected to hear them start in with "but we beart Penn State" chants before they all left midway through the 4th quarter

sidenote.... USC is not a good team this year, likely 6-7 at this point.

Not looking good.

Not sure if it's lack of depth, or just bad coaching at this point.

But they better fix it quick -- it just gets harder for him.

No.

Loved the way they got punched in the mouth multiple times in a legendary venue, by a legendary team that was fired up at home, then said "that's all you got?"

Us Duck fans were actually stressing -- that rain delay after getting kicked in the crotch was some pretty big drama. But the point at which I knew it was about to change and get ugly for the Vols -- when they hit the second FG, and Chip Kelley started jumping up and down and applauding.

That's Chip -- he wasn't cheering because we held them to 3 -- he was sincerely cheering UT making a game of it... he really is that cocky. And that cockiness spreads like a virus.

And that leads to things like the second half.

Cliff Harris -- touched the ball 3 times this season, and has 3 TDs. Hell, he had two returns for 125 yards and two TDs last week... and lost his job.

Can you say "deeeeeeep"?

But props to Tenn -- at least our punter got in the game, unlike last week.

Its lack of depth plus the coaching staff isnt practicing them at full speed or allowing hitting so its snowballing on them. They have no heart, theyre not playing with any hate and the team has no emotion at all. I see this season going very poorly and if USC wins its apeal, it can be one and done for CLK, if they lose the appeal, he may get 2 years.

USC got officiating help? they had like 170 yards in penalties and it was USC that scored a TD on 3rd and 2 that was called back and for some reason it became 3rd and 28, then on the next play the USC player was hit out of bounds and nothing. USC is 119th this year in penalties, seems the NCAA sent word to the refs that USC needs to be punished unfairly by them too.
The one call the UVA coach cried about was a good call, you cant hit someone below the waist outside the tackle box.

In other words, it's about like last year.

And the whining and excuse making is like every year.

No, it's nothing like last year.
Last years team didnt lack depth and they practiced full speed with hitting. The position and assistant coaches last year were horrible and Pete was too busy trying to save LA gang bangers than coach the team.
Who is making excuses, I said the team wasnt very good, somebody else brought up that USC had officiating help but they obviously didnt watch the game, that game was one of the worst officiated games ever. If the refs are going to be bad and ticky tack, be consistent, to both teams.

Faculty giving free As to football players who never even showed up in the classes is the school cheating, not knowing an agent is paying a player to leave the school is a school not policing itsself.
Auburn cheats, USC is just lousy babysitters.

I bet if you were coaching them they'd be in mid-season form, right you fucking douche?

if I was coaching them they would be going full speed and hitting in practice and theyd run gassers for every penalty and dropped ball.
I coach my younger sons pop warner team, through 2 games now theyre 2-0 and have out scored the enemy 129-0. My kids tackle better than the Trojans do, employ the Steelers Smack and every Friday nights practice ends with Bull In The Ring so they are used to hitting and geting hit

The internets is a wonderful place to embellish.
I don't know, 'Spray, I think it's amazing that USC hired Lane Kiffin when they could have hired ToeJam much cheaper and gotten more for their money, and used the savings to up the pay for their players.

Sudden Sam wrote:Seantrel Henderson said in a recent interview he'd have stayed with USC if Toejam had been hired.
And Reggie Bush said he would have played for free, just for the privilege of playing for ToeJam and learning how to play the game the right way.

Well, the economy is a little tough right now and those player's 402(k)s have taken a hit the past couple of years. A guy can't blame them for laying down in games when they feel so under paid.
