Really?
Mine:
1 - Vacant
2(Tie) - SEC/PAC10
Garbage(Tie) -- Big12/Big11
Others not recieving votes: Who?
But as my SECBSH friend has stated... "There are no good conferences -- only conferences with mulitple good teams."
He's wise for his years.

Why would anyone care how teams other than their own are rated?
USC is not very good, fuck the other 9 teams in the conference i will root against all of them every week, even when they play each other.

FUCK... why does he have to be from my conference?
I mean, there's (at least) one in every crowd, as this board often demonstrates, but...
Toejam?
I'm stuck with Toejam?
That's some fucked up shit. Jay, Seer, Mikey, Q, et al... feel my pain.
If you ain't homering your conference, you ain't getting the full value out of the sport. I mean, just because us people from the Proper Coast play the best football, it doesn't mean you inferior fucks from the Other Side of ther Divide shouldn't have some (misplaced) pride and shit.

And another thing, POSJam -- last I checked, USC is 3-0. While they look very very shakey, any claims of "not good" are a wee bit premature. 3-0 is 3-0. And there's still a bunch of studs in that stable. While the coach is a buttnugget, you can only do so badly with a locker room full of 5-stars.
They're toast come October 30, but your not giving them the benefit of the doubt is... pretty you.

I should note that I don't really see shit for difference in the top 4, but them's my feelings as of now.
8th? While the league hasn't gotten out of the gate, they are still better than the ACC and the WAC.

I wouldn't even know where to begin quantifying this. What's the criteria? Whoever has the most legit MNC contenders? Whoever has the most competitive teams top to bottom?

I dunno. Let's get all hypothetical and shit (since that's much of what we do here, and this thread rocks)...
WAC vs. Big Least:
Would WVU beat Boise St? Maybe, maybe not (remember that time BSU played two tough teams in a row? Yeah, I don't remember that either).
Would Pitt beat Fresno St? Maybe, but I sure wouldn't bet the farm on it. Fresno St has already beaten a BE team.
Although, I think the Big East bottom feeders would mop the floor with the WAC bottom feeders every day of the week, except sundays, when they'd do it twice.
Would Rutgers (or whoever your 3rd best team is) hang with Nevada? Not a freaking chance.
Big East not looking so good.

Just make something up.
I figure it's the top half of the conference that matters. All of the Big 6 are at least 50% crapola, just like any other season. The mid-majors are generally over 50% crap.

Not even sure who the 3rd best team in our league is right now. I know that there were high expectations on UConn and they have looked flat out horrible so far. Cincinnati has looked poor as well.
Rutgers has a good D, so they could slow Nevada, but I doubt they'd score much on them.
Slow start for the league to say the least. There is a great opportunity for some redemption this week (Miami @ Pitt, WVU @ LSU, UNC @ Rut, OU @ Cincy) although I don't see that ending too well either.

OU kinda got screwed there (as did many teams this OOC, just like every year). Cincy (I'm assuming) was a much better team when OU scheduled them. Utah St, FSU, and Cincy wasn't a bad slate when they put it together.
Then again, New Mexico was winning bowl games when Oregon scheduled them. Now... not so good.

Yes, the Trojans 3-0 and they have dropped 2 points in the poll after each win. They have no depth, the refs fuck them over in every game because they too are part of the NCAA, while they are starting to tackle now, they still miss assignments. While you bragged that Oregon had 80 players in the last game, USC only has 62 bodies that are even on scholarship including this last years class of true freshman and in some positions there is only 1 player on the depth chart, most the backups are playing at other schools since the NCAA realized that another way of weakening the program was to allow all the backups to leave without having to sit out a year.
And why am I going to cheer for the teams that have the shittiest fan bases towards USC. Ask the fans/alumns of Oregon, Cal, Stanford, Washington, Zona, UCLA... what they think about USC and then ask yourself why any USC fan/alumn should ever root for the team those people root for? Not going to bother pulling for any team whose fans hate mine.
And where was Larry Scott when the NCAA was making up new rules to bust USC for things that had already happened? Where was the conference to stand up for one of its members who was being treated unfairly? Agents at other schools in other conferences give players illegal benefits and the conference and its members say its an agent problem, that schools are powerless to fight it, but when it happens to 1 player at USC it's a USC problem and the program needs to be strapped with ridiculous sanctions so that the other teams in the conference could compete.... news for everyone, USC was already on its way down as Carroll had lost focus and the assistant coaches he had left in charge were far from adequate to coach the team, look at 2009's hires and the job they did.
I will never root for any team but USC in anything.

Going on this, I think the bottom feeders from the B11 and the SEC would probably pound the crap out of the equivalent bottom feeders in the other conferences, most likely.
Vandy, Ole Miss, and MSU would probably shithammer UDub, Wazzu, and maybe Cal. Northwestern and Perdon't would likely mop the floor with Kansas and Baylor.
Wazzu and Minny seems like a nice matchup on paper... by that, I mean they could cover the field in rice paper, and it wouldn't be wrinkled by the end of the game (that would end 3-0 after 14 overtimes).

the WAC has been laying the Mountain West to waste so far
I'm not saying it's a great conference, but after TCU and Utah, exactly who are the other dominant teams?
Boise State, Nevada, and Fresno isn't a bad start

As much as it pains me to say it... NEbraska is not "maybe". All previous discussion of their lack of offense should be ignored.

It doesn't pain me to say it, the bugeaters have been taking care of business.
But I'm not ready to crown them champs of the North just yet. Hard for me to imagine that a frosh QB is gonna' run wild over XII defenses who've had a chance to game plan for him.
We'll see soon enough.
