ASU should have won by two TDs or more, if it weren't for their total self destruction. The Oregon defense allowed almost 600 yards in total offense. ASU ran 99 plays on offense. How many times did ASU turn it over inside the 10? Out of seven total, I don't remember exactly but it was at least three times, and the interceptions were mostly gimmes thrown horribly by Threet. And that fumble recovery for a TD was absolutely ridiculous.
The Oregon offense made some big plays but they were definitely stoppable. 2-13 on third down? Really, Oregon didn't win that game as much as ASU gave it to them. The long passes they completed were almost 100% on blown coverages that any well coached defense wouldn't have ever allowed.
What would an allbarn fan know about Pac 10 defenses? Besides, the Trojans went in to Jordan Hare and kicked allbarn in the junk so hard that allbarns sisters jaws are still wired shut. The worlds greatest runing back corps in the history of college football couldnt even cross the 50 yard line in their own stadium vs a Pac 10 defense.
schools like Chatanooga, Tennessee Tech, Louisiana Monroe, Ball State and the Citadel are the defenses those cowardly pussy cats from auburn are used to facing at Jordan Hare, no clue what sort of athletes are playing defense at Pac 10 schools.

Outside of Tate Forcier, it wasn't a banner weekend for former starting QBs at Michigan.

Dan Hawkins needs to know how much ass-lube to bring.

I agree that Nebraska is getting way too much love. I didn't watch the S Dakota St. game, but it was obvious from all that I've read about it that both the players and coaches were so disinterested in the game (Pelini himself said he'd rather not play games like this), that they felt they could go through the motions and scratch out a win.
We'll know a lot more about Nebraska when they start the Big 12 schedule against KSU next Thursday.

Georgia is cock-mounting awful this year. Honestly - I would LOVE to see Colorado kick the piss out of them this weekend. You guys stand a good chance of doing it, too. Long trips never end up too well for any college team.
For some reason I thought they were playing at Georgia. Much as it pains me to say it, the future of Colorado University Football depends on Georgia going ass to mouth to ass to mouth on Dan Hawkins all afternoon

Colorado also had a bye week....so with two weeks to prepare, you'd think CU would have as good a chance as they'll ever have...in addition to being a reasonably tough home-dog (except against Missouri). Hawkins has a home win over a ranked opponent every season but the first 2-10 debacle. CU will also be honoring the 1990 MNC team this weekend....lotta intangibles pointing to CU but they aren't very good. 2 weeks to think about things is not, from what i observe, always a good thing for a Dan Hawkins team since 2 weeks of "up talk" and "we're about to pop/turn the corner" tends to distance both himself and, if what they say in the local media is true, the players from the reality that the team is not very good and this staff is maybe the worst in the Big XII.
honestly, i don't see how anyone could get a feel for this game. there's just no way to know. that being said, if the gap between CU and UGA talent-wise is half of what CU showed against Cal....UGA gets well with a nice W in Boulder.

No football team ever wants to believe they suck even when its true. Even when Chuck Fairbanks was ruining the program they wanted to believe they didn't suck, but at a given point in every game, they had to admit it to themselves. I see lots of similarities with Hawkins- a coach & team insulated from the public, and also the ball sucking homers at KOA radio.
