Who was saying his polls are legit because there's no human element, no bias? A lack of human element appears to be precisely the problem. Human element factors in a much needed variable, which is a thing called common fucking sense. Common sense dictates that a 2-loss Cal team isn't top 10 caliber. Common sense also dictates that you don't stick Ohio State at #15 behind...Nevada? A 2-loss Oregon State also on the cusp of the top 10? A .500 ASU team in the top 20? I know the Pac tends to schedule a little tougher in the OOC, but they're too rewarded for merely getting off the bus and showing up. At some point you gotta win games...right? Isn't that what this is all about? HELLO? JEFF? YOU PLAY. TO WIN. THE GAME.

a team is supposed to go 6-0 vs the 117th ranked schedule. His system is as accurate as any of the other computer polls and he isnt employed and doesnt have his office at one of the schools that are playing 1a football.

I don't doubt his polls are without bias, I just think they suck hairy goat balls.

all polls suck hairy goat balls, South Carolina just kicked the shit out of Alabama and less than 24 hours later they are told by the polls that they are not as good of a team as the team they just went ass to mouth on is.

Let's give Jeffy a little slack here -- by the time BSU gets done with their remaining community colleges, they'll most likely drop a spot or 2 or 10.
And OS at #11 is kinda whack... but they are #1 in SoS at the moment.
And I'm kinda happy tOSU is getting fucked by the computers... fucking play somebody. Only decently-ranked BCS team with a weaker schedule is OKSt. James Madison has a similar SoS to tOSU right now (will obviously change).

i've always disliked Sagarin but that goes back more to basketball and the eventual ascension of the RPI as "the Committee's" secret formula and then, once outed, diminished somewhat insincerely by the Committee once dudes like Jerry Palm were picking the bracket nearly perfectly on obscure websites in 99 and 00. Thereby paving the way for the career of the World's Biggest Idiot Not Named Jim Nantz or Bob Davie.....Joe Lunardi.
i remember thinking Sagarin was bunk inna day.
