The Chiefs are just running ROUGHSHOD over the Tejans today...Charles and Jones BOTH have over 100 yards rushing, and D-Bowe showed up today as well. The Tejans are SOFT, they will ALWAYS BE SOFT, and we are proving it today!

Moeaki coming up big twice on 3rd downs today. One of the top rookies in the NFL. Good to see a former Hawkeye tearing it up for the Chiefs.

Cassel has played smart today. KC is in a good spot right now if they hold on. They have a more favorable schedule the rest of the way than Denver and San Diego and could have a 3 game lead on both of them after today.

Playoffs here we come.....

Maybe!

I really don't know what just transpired in the last five minutes of that game. Give me a minute or sixty to take this all in.

It's been emotional.

Paul, to answer your question, yes, AJ could have shoved the fuck out of Flowers on that play, but he didn't. Both players had their hands on each other and it should've been a no call play IMO. Johnson barely pushed off the guy.

In saying that, the officiating was terrible today. I'd say the Chiefs got more jobbed than the Texans, but there was a shitload of holding going on with regard to one Mario Williams throughout the entire game. Mario was beating the fuck out of your LT, but he was always a day late and a dollar short getting to Cassel. You know why? He was being held. But like I said, officiating was bad today and it was worse for KC than for Houston.

It sucks and you guys should have won the game today, but you didn't. You defense failed to get the job done late. You were in position to win but you didn't make the necessary stops and Houston made one important one on a bad playcall by Haley/Weis. Your team is good and will compete for the AFC West title this season because it seems SD doesn't want it. Better luck next time.

Yeah, the Zebra blew the call, but that's football.

Convert the third down on the final drive, and we're in here celebrating a 4-1 start.

Bottom Line: Score more points. Props to Coogs' and his Texans....

Teams that put themselves in position to be jobbed by a bad call didn't deserve to win in the first place. The Chiefs are lucky they're in the worst division in football.

Wrong on too many levels. Did you even see the game, Loser? How'd Pittsfuck fare at Arrowhead last year? 'Cuz I can tell you that your Steelers wouldn't want any piece of Kansas City this year. BTW, the NFC West sez your take is gax. :meds:

I saw the end. You know, the part where your shit team finished converting a 10 point lead into a 4 point deficit. Sorry, one bad call doesn't result in TWO scores. One bad call doesn't allow 35 points to be scored on your shit defense. And that bad call didn't turn Matt Cassel into a scatter armed spaz when the game was on the line. I hope the Chiefs do make the playoff, because the Steelers will fucking DESTROY that bunch of chokers.

Tough L to swallow.

Chiefs D played ok for 3 qtrs but for some inexplicable reason started playing soft in the 4th. The run game was chewing up yards left and right, yet then they try some trick bootleg play when they only needed 2 yards to essentialy end the game. I knew they would lose right there.

And wtf was up with those short kick-offs and you don't cover the side of the field you kicked to? Great strategy, that. Still fucking around with gimmick plays when this team is good enough to just play straight up and win without needing tricks. Haley, trust your fucking team.

Props to the Texans. They made the plays at end that they had to to win and KC didn't.

You mean other than everything you posted?

Why, nothing, B.

It was a great ball game. Kansas City didn't so much as lose the game as Houston just went out and flat fucking won it.

Props to Houston. That is one damn good ballclub.

The AFC West isn't the worst division in football. Oh, sure, San Diego is a mess, but I assure you that your Steelers wouldn't want any part of the Chiefs right now. Yes, the quarterback is suspect, and our young safeties are susceptable to being lit up over the top, but you're gonna earn a victory this year when you square off against the Kansas City Chiefs.

This team reminds me a whole helluva lot of Marty's first year in Kansas City. We may not be there in the end this year... But we're gonna be there soon. Make your time, B.

You're kidding right? The Chargers are an embarrassment, the Raiders are a walking clusterfuck and the Broncos just choked like dogs against the Jets at home. And save your NFC West takes, because right now, at best, the AFC West is tied with the NFC West for the title of worst division in the NFL.

As for Pittsburgh's chances against KC? I'd rate them somewhere between excellent and a dead lock cinch in Pittsburgh and just excellent at Narrowhead. That little flutterball Cassel throws will get picked more often than leftover spare ribs at KC Paul's house. And those suspect safeties will be like a chew toy in the paws of a pit bull when Ward and Wallace get a hold of them. As for your team's physical play, Steelers fans have seen many a team try to out hit the Steelers. Very few of them succeed. But by all means keep deluding yourself into thinking the Chiefs are a top echelon squad. It will only make your pain when they fall short more entertaining.

3rd down call was lame. Refs call was lame, but the officiating while not horrible, was the worst I have seen this year. Bad call didnt decide the game. I was one call, on one play, and no one scored on that play. Our genius coaches that had looked so good thus far this season blew this game as much as anyone. Defense also. Cant let anyone score 21 in the first qtr and expect to win. Also, Texans are the best team the Chiefs will face during the regular season. Yes, better than Indy. No shame in losing to good teams in their house. It happens.

BULLSHIT!!!

AJ DID shove the fuck out of Flowers on that play. The replay showed it CLEARLY. 80 created CLEAR separation between himself and Flowers by extending his fucking arm and pushing him away from himself so he could make a clean catch of the football. The ensuing flag SHOULD HAVE BEEN Offensive Pass Interference on 80, resulting in a 10-yard penalty on the Tejans' offense and thus most likely eliminating the :28 that were left after 80 caught the game winner.

This is a joke, right? Did you even watch the Texans' defense? The pass rush is always a split second too late, the secondary is the youngest in the league and can't cover for shit, and the run defense was exposed today after DeMeco went out with a season ending injury. The Texans blitzed a lot more today but didn't get a sack until the final play of the game. The bottom line is the secondary can't blanket receivers long enough for the pass rush to get to the QB. Frank Bush is lost on what to do with this defense.

Cushing and Williams are beasts on that defense, but they don't have enough consistency or help up front to let these guys flourish. It's a mess to say the least. The Texans are not contenders this season. 9-7 is still my prediction.

bwaaaa ...

The Griefs drop two straight and Scott can't get in quick enough to predict that they win 9 of the next 11.

Oh well, at least it's a take.

I dunno, but KC might have enough steam to win the West.
It'd be more inspiring if they WON these games they supposedly looked "good" in.
Dungver can sling the ball around and they've been reasonably competetive.
SD might hang around due to P. Rivers carrying the offense.
Oakland looks like the bottom feeder, imo.
Pretty disappointed in them, as has already been noted.

10-6 is more likely.

They could go 9-7.

That's not quite the same as, "They will go 10-6," which would be, you know, a call.

Taking it up the ass??? The Chiefs are a couple of plays (and bad calls) from being 5-0 right now. The home game next Sunday against the Faguars is NO gimme- there are NO "gimmes" in this league.

Prior to the "push" by Johnson, it seems Flowers had hooked Johnson's left arm with his right arm - which prompted the reaction push from Andre.

Personally, I'd like to see that as a no-call.

If a flag needed to be thrown, it was correct to throw it on Flowers, since he instigated, imo.

I think the ref should have kept the flag in his pocket on that play.

Flowers does a great job of turning around to find the ball. Johnson gives him a little shove just as the ball is coming down. Probably not enough to warrant an offensive pass interefernce call but I'm having a really hard time seeing a P.I. on Flowers.

Even if it was PI on AJ, did he score 21 points in the 4th quarter on that one play?

You say this as if I'm blaming the loss on this one play. Nowhere have I said such a thing. Of course that one play didn't cause the Chiefs the game. It surely didn't help them much but there were a lot of other things that led to their loss.
