any of you have absolutely no life?

The Des Moines Register has an article about Iowa State's lack of talent and they compared the average amount of draft picks ISU has had vs their 2010 opponents over the last 10 years. Iowa, Oklahoma, Texas and Nebraska are killing them in that category.

But this got me to thinking...

If we ranked the Top 25 programs in terms of success over the last 10 years from BCS teams (sorry Boise/TCU, but your records are inflated), how similar would it be to the list of Top 25 programs with the most NFL draft picks over that period?

Anybody have no life at all? If so, you wanna get me this list?

As for the most successful programs, I suppose we could set up a point system to rank them without bias. Wins + (conference titles*5) + (BCS bowls*3) + (BCS bowl wins) + (bowl game appearances) + (top 25 finishes*2) + (national titles*12) - losses. Seems like a pretty good point system.

Any takers? I will send you a personally autographed napkin in exchange.

Hahaha. Well played, but I do have a life.

I sit at home all day and watch sports while my pregnant wife is out defending drunks and wife beaters. How do I not have a life!!?

I will say that in the annals of college football, Terry Donahue probably did the least with the most as far as stocking the NFL and having almost NOTHING to show for it.

Ahhh, for the good old days....
