MSU just scored to show that this game is far from over. NW played a great first half but the Spartans should be able to wear them down in the second half and avoid the upset.

Swat it's looking like. NW's qb clocking in with 78% completion for the year? God damn - that's pretty fucking sick.
Yeah, Persa is the real deal and he can run too. NW just put up another 7, so my prediction might be wrong.

It's not easy to prepare for Northwestern and it's not an easy place to win. Props to Northwestern for playing a great game and even more props to MSU for making the comeback and pulling this one out....if they do. Up 8 with a minute to go should be enough but, with Persa, you never know.

I was at this game. The 1st half was rainy and windy, and seemed to really benefit the Cats. NU's offense is so fucking tedious and annoying, but effective as hell. Mace and JON know what I'm talking about. Dan Persa was pretty much a one man wrecking crew, doing it with his legs and the dump passes for 5-6 yards every time. MSU had little answer for him, but got the stops they needed in the 2nd half. The fake punt for a 1st down which led to a TD was the turning point in the game. MSU just seemed to have life after that and clamped down on defense, and got the passing game going.

I took Northwestern +7.5 and they lost by 8. They were going to cover. MSU was running up the gut to ice the game but Edwin Baker broke one for a TD. I was actually a little disappointed by that because a) it gave NU another crack with the ball down by 8 and b) I lost a pick'em point
