Unfortunately it looks like the people of Cali are going to send that piece of work back to DC for another 6 years, and Jerry "Nut Job" Brown for GUV ? What's wrong with you folks ?
And if you don't see that Ms. Boxer is a pompous ass, there's something wrong with you too.

That's hilarious. Being too stupid to not speak glowingly about the time her opponent was governor is probably why she's down 10 points.

Californication is a perfect example of what is wrong in America. They have two senators that in a sane world might be a Dean of Women at a small university. They have a governor who should have stayed in action movies and are about to elect one that probably should be in bad comedy films. Way to go Cali ! Proving the theory about that defective gene.

Dean of Women?

I see you are beginning to drop all pretense and are now open about your desire for a return to the '50s.

There was nothing "glowing" about Jerry's last time as governor, fucktard.

Oregon is on the brink of a Civil War that threatens to expand beyond Corvallis and Eugene.

On the R side, we have a former Trailblazer, Chris Dudley, with a fairly fiscally conservative agenda, in this broke-as-hell state.

On the other, a retread, John Kitzhaber, aka Taxhaber, aka Dr. No (long story behind Dr No, in a nutshell -- in his first 8 years, it was a republican controlled legislature, and Kitz invariably went before the legislature, and began every pitch with "First, I want to raise taxes on _______, and then spend it on _____".... just about every day they were in session. It got so old-hat, they'd just stand up and yell "NO!" before he ever finished his pitch). Only reason Adolph Taxhaber can even run is because he's grandfathered before the term limits. His first 8 years were a complete train wreck... absolute disaster, in which he made it very clear the state Constitution took a back seat to his desire to spendspendspend, and the good-old-boy politico network grew at an alarming clip. Even during his current campaign, he's been caught with his hand in the cookie jar... more than once. He's been caught in bald-face lies about where his home "loans" came from -- his stock broker, who he appointed to oversee the state pension fund immediately after being given a no-down home loan, which he indesputably violated financial disclosure laws to keep a secret from the gullible public.

So the election seems like a no-brainer...

BUT... it's Oregon. Massive welfare state. Free health care for illegals (but not for taxpayers). But here's the catch -- 88 had a sig about "the People voting themselves money." And state government has grown so huge, that between people on the dole and the massive public employee unions pretty much make up about half of the voting public. We saw this last year -- the voters approved huge tax increases on corporations to give more money to the public unions, which get outrageous benefit... just outrageous. And that cad Dudley actually wants them to pick up some of the tab for their health care... you know, like every other working person out there. Death sentence for Duds.

But it's way too close to call right now. I'm considering moving if the Taxman gets reelected, but I probably won't. I'll just continue to find ways around paying any taxes, like I do now. Hopefully, he doesn't drive every last business from the state. Intel and Nike get pretty sweet tax breaks to stay, but the smaller corps aren't going to sit back and support the welfare state -- they'll move. Many already have. Between Oregon's draconian business regulation, then Portland piling a bunch more on top of it, it's a wonder unemployment isn't 99%.

But it's been almost amusing to watch the insanity -- people are going out on a limb for the guy who drove the state into the ground. One guy is coming up with ways to take less of your money, one guy has made it abundantly clear he wants as much of our money as he can get his hands on (a bunch of which will be doled out for benefits for illegals)...

and it's about 50-50 right now. Who woulda thunk it?

Unfortunately it looks like the people of MEXIFORNIA

You, sir, have been corrected...once again at NC....

What do you think the results would be with 50% of the population from south of the border and another 25% libtards? Let me spell it out for you - e-n-t-i-t-l-e-m-e-n-t-s....ONLY 2 billion annually to support illegals, and programs for the disabled now wanting to sue the state for budgetary cuts to their programs....This state absofukinglutely deserves what it gets....I'm just here for the weather.

According to Meg Whitman, there was.
