Instead of complimenting his team on making a very kind gesture, Toejam uses it as an opportunity to insult the NCAA for enforcing rules.

Status cemented.

Rules that players everywhere break, that players at 4 other schools were caught breaking since the Bush penalties have come out and the media has switched its story from "USC is dirty" to "agents and players can not be controlled by the schools".

based on their past record, the NCAA will likely strap USC with some sort of penalty for doing this. I mean they're not sending gifts to every paralized person, bad Trojans

Uhm... we've beaten this to death, but...

Quiz time...

What did those other schools do when they heard word that their players were hobnobbing with agents?

Did they:

A) Immediately suspend said "dirty" players, and fully cooperate with the NCAA, resulting in the release of those players,

or

B) Say "FUCK YOU!!! WE GET TO DO WHATEVER WE WANT!!!! WE DID NOTHING WRONG, YOU'RE JUST PICKING ON US!!!!

WE ARE SC!!!!!! SO LEAVE US ALONE!!!!!!"

I'll give you two guesses at the answer, Schmick.

Make up your mind, douchebag. Is everyone doing it, or did USC do nothing? You've said both.

Go sit on a rusty knife, sideways.

BTW, Schmick... check this out...

In Oregon, licensed sports agents aren't allowed to set foot on a college campus. Although during the no AD/no BBall coach period last summer, it happened... and the University went to the PAC and the NCAA with what they found.

Do you even possess the cognitive ability to see the difference between that and inviting agents into the locker room after games... which YOU seem to think never happened, but a huge array of eyewitnesses seem to think otherwise.

You really need to quitcherbitchen, and realize you fools got off easy. Look what happened to Bama, look what happened to SMU when they took the "HAHAHAHAHA, you can't touch US" mentality.

When the alleged call from Lake to the USC assistant coach was made, Reggie had already left USC and had declared for the draft. How do you suspend a player that is already gone?

and

There is no proof that Lloyd Lakes 90 second call at 2 am to Todd McNairs cel phone 4 days after Reggies final game was ever answered by McNair or if McNair recieved a message that was about Regies illegal benefits.

Differnece is the other schools heard about players recieving gifts and benefits while the players were still at the school, McNair may have found out about Reggie after Reggie had declared for the draft and left the school.

Lloyd Lake never set foot on USCs campus and was not a licensed sports agent.
link to USC inviting agents in to the locker room to pitch their program to USC players?

Bama had boosters paying for players to come to Bama, SMU had boosters paying to come to and play for SMU. NOBODY at USC paid the Griffens or Bush to come to USC and play for USC. If anything, wannabe agents paid Griffen to get Bush to leave USC early. USC had 1 player recieve illegal benefits from an agent, that 1 player cost USC 2 years of Bowls, 3 years probation and 30 scholarships. North Carolina has at least 6 times as many players ho have now been found guilty of recieving benefits from agents plus the coaches nanny was writing papers for the players and an assistant coach was brokering the deals with the agents. If North Carolina does not recieve at least a 12 year bowl ban 18 years of probation and 180 lost scholarships, that is proof of bias from the NCAA. The other 3 schools caught up in the agent paid for parties this last spring deserve what USC recieved per player, some schools had 1 player at the party on the agents dime, other schools had more than 1 player.

You know guys schmuck is right......
Just give every program the death penalty and leave only 1 school eligible to play football. That way U$C can win every game, every bowl and every national championship. Maybe them the schmuckster will pull his head out of his ass.......

fair is fair. If USC gets what they recieved for 1 player, a school with 6 players doing the same thing deserves 6 times the penalty or USC deserves 1/6th of whatever penalty that school recieves.

Toejam -- see if your very limited ability to think lets you digest that article.

Here's some keywords/phrases:

"Repeat violator" -- in this case within 4 years of the last one. How often do you think USC is going tell the NCAA that it doesn't have to follow the rules before they get just a wee bit pissed? You'd think if you got threatened with the shithammer withing the last 4 years (same fucking coach), you'd have the sense to maybe keep an eye on things?

"USC's sixth case of major infractions since 1957" -- I'm sure you suck at math as well, so here's some help -- they've averaged better than 1 major infraction per 10 year span since before almost anyone here was born.

"The general campus environment surrounding the violations troubled the committee"

"The committee also found that McNair not only knew about Bush's dealings with would-be agents and sports marketers, he lied about what he knew to NCAA investigators. " -- yup, dude lied to the NCAA... AND IS STILL ON THE PAYROLL...

Hello? Anyone home at USC? This is common sense calling... USC's Common Sense, please pick up the white courtesy phone!

I imagine the lone compliance officer is probably a little busier now than in prior years.

The compliance department now is made up of all retired FBI agents, try reading Simers or Plaschke in the LA Times complaining about how they cant even get in to the locker rooms anymore and cant get interviews with the players. Mcnair is not on the payroll anylonger.
The lie the NCAA thinks Mcnair told was that he didnt know who Lloyd Lake was, Lake provided a cropped picture of Mcnair and an actor at a party with Lake standing behind them, thats the proof that the NCAA said proved Mcnair lied.

Can't speak on Simers, but Plaschke is a stuttering, bumbling idiot who is a bigger tard than the dumbasses at Yahoo.

both Simers and Plaschke did nothing but bash on USC and try to dig up dirt on the team the whole time Carroll was there, these are supposed to be the home town paper guys and all they did was talk shit on the Trojans. When haden got to USC he black listed all of the haters and they get 0 access to the team. Now those hacks have noting to write about every week except how the Evil Trojan Security people wont let them speak to players, have access to practice or the locker rooms and Kiffin doesnt answer their questions.

So it has nothing to do with tightening up security in the name of ethics, but shutting out the hometown guys who had the audacity to question a dirty program?

Simers used to write for one of the Denver papers and got run because he questioned the holy Broncos. which you simply do not do in Denver.

I still don't know why USC made this donation. It didn't happen in California, so it's not important.
