for such a blatant rip off of their uniforms

it's shameless; but, it's not quite as bad as Indiana a few years ago copping the Sooners uni. IU, to their credit, changed it up a bit now. esp the crimson facemask instead of the OU white. but, one year, the only diff was I instead of O on the helmet logo and saying HOOSIERS across the front instead of SOONERS.

Isn't paying USC what got you cheating fucks in trouble to begin with?

Thanks for clearing that up for me. I should have known that USC wouldn't violate any rules. Thanks again.

Colors are the same but, obviously, the design of the Iowa State uni is not the same as USC. Can't expect Toejam to pick up on that though.

Didn't you know that USC invented those colors?
My bad. I should have guessed that, but I thought USC had only invented the color green.

They may not of invented the color green, but they seem to have the patent on it.

ISU added the cardinal stripe in the middle of the gold shoulder stripe after they likely caught shit for copying USCs uniforms, when they first went to the Sc rip off uniforms it was the exact same jersey as the trojans. they also copied USCs helmet color with the gray facemask. No originality

Why would Iowa St copy jerseys of a lesser program?

The lamest fans I have ever met are SC fans.

Did U$C also invent the color grey on the facemask? Shit, I guess EVERY college, high school and Pop Warner team should also send your pathetic school a check.

You are wrong on all of this. I do love it that some So-Cal buttfuck is talking about the Cyclones though.

Brilliant detective work, you stupid sack of shit, but I could have told you they changed uniforms from what they wore in 2006. That oftentimes happens with coaching changes. If they're truly trying to copy USC, the NCAA should be knocking on their door in about 3....2....1.

Wow those pants and jerseys look an awful lot like the KC Chiefs....maybe they should pay them too. Hey fuckstain, should Valencia High School pay the Vikings because their helmets have the same logo?
You can't really be that fucking stupid......oh wait......yes you can.

Valencia High School isnt in the NFL, and regardless of how many 1st rounders are on Iowas squad every year, theyre not going to ever play against the Steelers as the Hawkeyes arent in the NFL either. Iowa State is in the same division of college football as USC and as Nike has shown with the Nike ducks is there are several thousand Nike options out there but the Cyclones decided they wanted to look just like USC so they copied their uniforms, there is no denying that.
Now if another High School in Santa Clarita opened up and called themselves the Norse, made purple their color and then used the same Vikings style uniforms, Valencia might take offense to that.

The two uniforms don't really look anything alike, except for the colors, you ignorant fucking tard troll, and it's certain that Iowa State doesn't have USC on the schedule in the years to come and even more of a certainty that the Cyclones won't be facing USC in a bowl game for at least the next two years.
Should Texas pay Tennessee, or vice versa, for having the audacity to share the same school colors? Or Iowa pay Colorado or Missouri?

I admit, USC's unis are pretty slick...for a directional school. Although they did use the old MSU helmet as a template for theirs, and should owe full compensation plus interest.

I'll take the opportunity to defend my guys, although I guess it's review...
When Disney became a massive instrument of corporate greed (after Adolph Disney croaked), they wanted a copy of the licensing agreement that showed that Oregon had permission to use Donald Fighting Duck as a mascot/logo...
Since it was completely verbal, they couldn't come up with any such documentation.
But that was right around the time that the world's largest athletic apparel company purchased the athletic department, and a new era was born...
The lack of tradition has
become the tradition -- let the outgoing seniors pick next season's uniforms, which will always differ slightly from the previous season's.
Sure, they could go back to the pre-Disney look... except it was butt-ugly.

Schmick whining about this is as pathetic as Wisconsin forcing Waukee High School (a Des Moines area school) to change the "W" on their helmet. What the fuck? It's a god damn "W"! Since when did Wisconsin own the rights to a fucking letter???? Besides, it's a high school. Who gives a shit?
My freshman year, we had to change our Jayhawk logo because it copied the Kansas one. Total bullshit. I can't remember the exact change but it was something very minor.
Even better, now they stole the "U" from Miami. I'm surprised they haven't been sued for this yet with the way colleges protect their logos.
http://www.mghelmets.com/iowa.html
These are helmets of Iowa high school football teams. Let's see, we've got spinoffs of the following....
Atlanta Falcons
University of Miami
University of Michigan
University of Iowa (I know they have permission)
University of Louisville
Michigan State University
Kansas State University
Minnesota Vikings
Indianapolis Colts
Nice!

really, another pick on Vandy post? Vandy always has the same V inside the star? hard to know, since they are never on TV. It's Vandy. Kansas wins my re-do the helmet derby....and then there's Sparty. sometimes the "S", now we are going back to the silhouette profile of the spartan with the helmet. back to the "S". back to the profile. back to the "S". ad infinitum.
the worst uniform i've seen in a long time was the Hawkins era Colorado home uni before this year's "homage" to the 1990 NC team....which are pretty cool. Nice Tron shit on the shoulders and pant, look at the geometry experiment on the pant? up close, they were hideous. not to mention that Nike gave them dijon mustard colored pants, too.

Those arent teams that play in the same league of football. High schools copy college uniforms, college uniforms copy pro uniforms, Iowa State was a D1 college football team and when time came to change their uniform they copied another D1 football teams. You go to a bar and look at the TVs, you see a certain uniform on one of the TVs you recognize that uniform as USCs then you go over and see its Iowa State instead. Same exact pants, same jersey other than a small cardinal stripe in the middle of the gold one, same helmets, with all the different stripe combinations they couldnt come up with one that looked more original? Iowa State is wearing the nike uniforms that USC turned down

like i said before, Indiana did it with OU. it sucks, get over it. Iowa State was a 2 point conversion away from bowl eligible at least.

Im over it, they copied it 3 years ago, just think it is funny that a school is so desperate for attention that they would change their uniform to look like one of the premiere programs in the country. I wonder if part of their recruiting pitch is "our uniforms look like USCs"

Just because you get slobbering drunk at the bar to watch a game doesn't mean that the uniforms are the same, dumbfuck. Back away, or stumble, from the bar and ask a more sober person to read that "Iowa State" on the front of the jersey. Or maybe look at those "identical helmets" and see the really big
I and
State logo on the side of the helmet....totally unlike the SC found on the helmets of the convicted cheaters. It's really pretty simple.
Iowa State is wearing the nike uniforms that USC turned down
OHHHH, so, if USC "turned them down", then they are NOT like the USC uniforms.

the stripe in the center of the other stripe on the jersey was one of the jerseys nike pitched to USC and USC said no to. Guess Nike had to put them on some team so Iowa State got them

i once watched nearly an entire delaware game once before realizing it wasn't my team. strange considering i'd watched michigan play like three hours earlier.
