At least from the overhead view you can get an idea of what the fuck ever it is they are trying to get across..view it from a standing or slightly elevated, you really can't see what is the pattern..but yeah I guess you have to be a Duck or give a shit about them to care.

After Washington State unveiled a red turf field, I would not be surprised if the NCAA rules committee did not pass a "green field" rule. With so many high schools going to "turf field", I am also surprised that the National Federation hasn't lead the way.

They did -- decades ago. Boise State got a waiver, and Eastern Washington is 1AA, so no one cares.
