eh, screwy, how often do we talk wmu football in here? i just want to know what you think about the emu line. it's around 17.5 right now. usually i just get my retirement savings out of the bank and bet it against emu, but 17 against western seems a bit high, non?

Tough call, M. Broncos are coming off one of the most crushing losses of the last few years (Fumbling 1st and Goal on the game-winning drive against your bitter rival at their weakest will do that for you), so I can totally see WMU coming out not giving a shit and getting their asses kicked (or at least not coming close to covering). Then again, EMU is still pretty bad and are 3-6 against the spread this season. WMU is 3-4-2 against the spread. EMU has also only been competitive in a couple games this year.

All in all, I'd say right now EMU +17.5 is the safe bet. WMU losing the way it did Friday only screams coming out flat, not "yeah, let's rebound and show those fuckers what we're made of!"

Even better, the Kzoo Gazette beat reporter is blaming the fans for the team's performance. Well, almost.
