What do you think happened? The Pentagon isn't or won't explain why this happened. Possibilities? 1) They really don't know. 2) It was a U.S. military accident. 3) It was a U.S. military test or example. 4) It wasn't really a missile. It was maybe an airplane. 5) It was fired by another country. 6) It was fired by a private U.S. citizen.
Are there other possibilities that you can think of? By now we should have had the military speak up and give us an explanation. It's really a scary situation to not know what is going on. I'm going to be watching this story close for updates as it develops.

If I wanted to trash talk either one of you it would be something you'd never forget. But I'd never go there. I'm a man and an adult. Apparently there was a commercial flight from Honolulu to Phoenix that flew over the area at the time the "rocket trail" was seen. I've seen similar contrails down here when conditions are right.

I have a miserable life and wish I were dead!
I live right by Hurlburt and Eglin AFB and have no problem accepting the airplane theory. I have seen contrails on numerous occasions that look almost identical off the gulf coast.
