Hope his son learns from his old man's mistakes and doesn't end up like criminal perverted piece of shit like his father.
Meggett's son plays for Maryland so everytime I watch a MD broadcast you hear these announcers slobbering over themselves to mention Little Meggett is Dave Meggett's son.

CHARLESTON, S.C.(AP) -- Former NFL player David Meggett was sentenced to 30 years in prison Wednesday after his conviction in a South Carolina court on charges of criminal sexual conduct and burglary, authorities said.
Meggett was convicted in a case involving an encounter with a college student at her house in North Charleston in January 2009, according to authorities.
Meggett, who attended high school in North Charleston, was a running back and punt returner in the National Football League between 1989 and 1998. Meggett played six years with the New York Giants, three with the New England Patriots and one with the New York Jets. He had nearly 1,700 yards rushing and just over 3,000 receiving during his career.
Meggett, 42, did not take the stand in his own defense at trial and his lawyer said he will appeal. His conviction and sentencing were reported Wednesday in several South Carolina media outlets.
Beattie Butler of the Charleston County Public Defender's Office argued that Meggett and the woman had consensual sex and later had an argument.
In 1998, Meggett was arrested in Toronto, Canada, after authorities said he allegedly assaulted an escort worker after a three-way sexual encounter. A trial on the assault charge ended with a hung jury in April 2000.
Meggett later worked as parks and recreation director in Robersonville, N.C., but resigned four years ago after he was accused of sexually assaulting his former girlfriend.
He was convicted of misdemeanor sexual battery in 2007, receiving received two years probation in the North Carolina case. Authorities said he was allowed to move back to South Carolina to serve his probation.

Sounds like he got what he deserved. Too bad it too three cracks at the apple for the justice system to put him behind bars. 2 girls would have been spared life altering pain.

Thirty years for sexual assault?
You can kill someone and do less time that that in most states. South Carolina does not fuck around.

Sort of what I was thinking, Mike.
I glanced at the 30 years note and thought to myself, "Wow, that little Meggett must have lured a couple of prepubescent males to his apartment, drugged them, sliced their cakks off and put 'em in the fridge, suffocated the boys with a pillow, buried 'em in the back yard, and then sat down to watch a Monday night game while snacking on the goodies he saved."
Come to find out he merely sexually assaulted a gal.

Yep, yep and yep. But he didn't do big stretches of hard time for the prior convictions. And normally when you've got multiple felonies they just try to slam dunk one of them and use the others to add weight to the case unless they're especially eggregious.
BTW, I have no problem with this sick fuck actually getting the 30 years and getting long-dicked by the White Pride crowd, I'm just thinking he must have really pissed off the judge during the trial or something, even with the priors.
