My Top 25

1.Auburn
2.Oregon
3.Stanford
4.Wisconsin
5.LSU
6.Ohio State
7.Boise State
8.TCU
9.Michigan State
10.Oklahoma State
11.Alabama
12.Arkansas
13.Nebraska
14.Missouri
15.Oklahoma
16.South Carolina
17.Virginia Tech
18.Nevada
19.Florida State
20.Arizona
21.North Carolina State
22.Iowa
23.Texas A&M
24.Utah????
25.Northern Illinois???

Conference Rankings:
1.SEC
2.Big-10
3.Pac-10
4.Big-12
5.Who cares?

My Heisman Ballot:
1.Cam Newton
2.LeMichael James
3.Andrew Luck
4.Kellen Moore

Coach of the Year:
1.Gene Chizik
2.Mark Dantonio
3.Mike Gundy

Coach that has to be on the hot seat:
Randy Shannon........is he? Does anyone know? Does anyone even care about Miami anymore? What a complete failure he has been since taking over for Larry Coker. The funny thing is Miami would probably be better off right now with Coker than Shannon. Very underachieving season.

Biggest surprises:
1.Oklahoma State
2.Michigan State
3.Texas A&M
4.Mississippi State

Biggest disappointments:
1.Iowa (a truly horrible coaching job this season. that's all there is to it.)
2.Texas (well, not really, I didn't think they would be any good preseason but most did)
3.Florida (disappointing somewhat. didn't think they would be this bad, but certainly felt they were overated preseason)
4.Miami (see above)
5.USC (Kiffen has not proven a god damn thing as a head coach yet he keeps getting the best jobs around. very unearned so far)

Most improved teams from beginning until now:
1.Wisconsin (sloppy early, but have really turned it on since the MSU loss)
2.Texas A&M (beat OU and Nebraska within a few weeks. very impressive)
3.Virginia Tech (I know they're in the ACC, but haven't lost since week 2 to James Madison)

Teams that have regressed since season start:
1.Texas (I know they didn't tear it up early on, but man they have become one of the worst BCS teams)
2.Nebraska (what happened to their offense?)
3.USC (they seem to be doing nothing but getting worse. maybe it's a lack of effort)
4.Utah (Getting blown out by ND and TCU back-to-back. Nice)

Biggest chokers:
1.Iowa (it's not even close. this is the least clutch team I have ever seen in my 20+ years of watching college football. In fact, I'd say this is the worst clutch team I have ever seen in any sport)
2.South Carolina (that 8-3 record would be better if Spurrier didn't fuck up the Kentucky game and they had a shot to beat Auburn)

Most clutch teams:
1.LSU (what more can be said about their late game heroics. it's insane, and I don't know how they do it, but they do)
2.Michigan State (a few nice late comebacks including this past weekend vs Purdue)
3.Auburn (Cam always comes through)

i'd take all 5 teams ranked below Nevada, straight up, on a neutral field.

Nevada is ranked because they are playing Boise. They've been positioned that way to make this game seem like something.

Fresno is a paper "woo woo they were good a couple times 6 years ago" and Hawaii lost to Colorado. this, the Nevada schedule.

it's nothing new or anti-Boise or anything it's just how things work out these days.

however, i think we can all agree it's a massive, corruption-ridden conspiracy to fuck over Nebraska for being so virtuous.

Agreed, except for Northern Illinois. I saw them in person and was unimpressed.

Actually, I think it has more to do with being desperate to find worthy teams at that point in the Top 25. They are 10-1 and with the way CFB has become, 10-1 is worthy of a Top 25 appearance regardless of who you have played. 10 years ago.......different story.

I caught very little of that game when I was out at a bar Saturday night and I will say there was some funky calls and no-calls. That said, come on......how many calls has Nebraska been getting for the past 40 years? They have a couple games where the calls go against them after 40 years of getting every call and they cry about it? Lame.

you don't see any Nebraska fans complaining about the clip (or some say "two clips") on the Johnny Rodgers punt return in the 1971 OU-NU game. that great citizen went to rob a convenience store with a lethal weapon. the Peters, L Phillips. all the sanctimony.

that was just pure winning and virtue.

North team or Oklahoma team getting home cookin' in Texas, unheard of?

you guys can deal with these bitchy, sanctimonious morons in the Big Ten.

that Omaha/Lincoln media share must be massive. and that hoops team. whoo!

Tom Shatel, the guy who's name sounds like vomit onomatopoeia...they are tough critics of the Huskers. Journal-Star, they ask the tough questions.
