Well, hopefully, Obama will go over there and apoligize that Bush didn't resolve the Korean conflict before anything else happens.

Righhhttttt.....the North Gooks lob a few shells at the South Gooks....and guess what..there is not a damn thing the South or the US , or China, or Russia  , could do about it. If the North wants the South, they will simply roll in there and take it.
( Sup South Vietnam?)

The Us could no more fight a war there now, because the North would probably pull the tactical nukes artillery card and then just waltz on in there.

Go ahead and run down to the recruiters there Wags and see if your ass can sign up to go fight those slant eyed cocksuckers..

Yeah..the Koreans are just a bunch of pushovers and will pull back when Barry flexes his military...just like they did in LA.

How North Korean Artillery Could Level Seoul In Two Hours

North Korea is known to have the world's largest artillery force.

South Korea's capital city is only 35 miles from the border.

Although the range of Kim Jong-il's arsenal is fodder for debate, it's certain the rogue dictator could hit Seoul with many shells in a matter of hours. He did take a few potshots last January. This threat is a key reason North Korea can bully its neighbor and stand up to US intervention.

Hmmm..my bad..I guess that will not need the 10 divisions they have waiting. Expect Wags to be calling you a dumb fuck in the next post.

The threat from North Korea isn't a military one.
It's a foregone conclusion that the North, with about 3 days of food and fuel for their "army" would collapse faster than Derron at an IQ test.

The real threat is to South Korea's economy and general stability when they are flooded with refugees.
North Korea's greatest weapon isn't nukes...it's panicked, starving masses lurching towards the border.

That's a valid point, Marty, but I have to believe that Dear Leader and his newly minted progeny Dear Leader II would have no reservations whatsoever of lobbing an artillery shell or 6 dozen into downtown Seoul if they perceived their stranglehold on power were in jeopardy.

Which brings to mind a coupla' questions.

If the huddled, starving masses yearning to be free are in such desperate straights, why don't they rise up against the regime responsible for their plight?

As well, if China is such a sugardaddy to the DPRK, why can't or won't they provide the relief needed to keep their serfs from starvation?

They do. They also have their own border concerns with North Korea.

Categorical bullshit from a total fraud..

The threat is ONLY military and it's more real than we'd like to believe. The idea of a refugee situation is ludicrous and shows how inane are your half-assed attempts at an opinion.

Why don't you try something a little easier--like giving odds on the Calgary rodeo roping contest. Careful! (remember, you don't really know jack shit about anything  )

The U.S. has now said they intend to take part in more joint (Guntslinger was run) military exercises with S. Korea.

That, for those keeping score at home, is the equivelant of a sternly worded letter.

Hey.
NK has just launched and killed folks.
Earlier this year they (allegedly :winky:) sunk a S.Korean vessel, killing 46 sailors.

And we're sending out sternly worded letters. :D

I'm not really IN with that.

I DO think it's prolly time for S. Korea to retaliate.

Not that I want to see war break out (or mushroom clouds form) 20 miles from me, but fuck me running, man, you can't just take gettin' punked that way, can you?

I don't know when it's going to happen, but N. Korea is gonna be DONE, one way or another, sometime down the road.

As a former Fire Direction Specialist in 8" Field Artilery with a Top Secret Security Cleareance in Nuclear Release and Alert Systems I can guarantee you that if North Korea were to invade South Korea the first thing you will see is tactical nukes fired from US Artillery figthing along side the South Koreans. Iraq was dug in defensively and our air force had 30 days to bomb the hell out of them before our troops advanced. The situation in Korea would be completely different if 1,000,000 North Korean soldiers stampeded across the border at the same time. The only defense is tactical nukes.

Sorry, but them is the facts!

We should be doing everything we can to encourage regime change. The instability in Pyongyang at this time might be a good opportunity. I'm guessing we will need assistance from some NoKo military leaders. A shooting war should be the last resort.

Sorry but you're out of your damn mind if you think the North Koreans have the wherewithal to mount an effective attack. if they did, they would have already done so. They can't even build a fucking pyramid correctly.
The Ryugyong Hotel (Korean: 류경호텔) (sometimes anglicized as Ryu-Gyong Hotel or Yu-Kyung Hotel[5]) is a 105-floor skyscraper under construction in Pyongyang, North Korea. Its name comes from one of the historic names for the city of Pyongyang, and means "capital of willows";[6] the building is also known as the 105 building,[1] a reference to its number of floors. Construction began in 1987, but was halted in 1992 due to the economic disruptions that afflicted the country following the fall of the Soviet Union. The hotel stood topped out but without windows or interior fittings for the next sixteen years. Construction resumed in April 2008, under the supervision of the Orascom Group of Egypt, which has invested heavily in the North Korean mobile telephony and construction industries.[3] The company expects to complete exterior work on the building in 2010, with interior work taking until 2012 or later.

This is what I'm talking about when I suggest that B-juice doesn't know shit about this situation. You too, wolfie?
Look, if you really think that any of the North Koreans are going to betray or desert their Beloved Leader then you really don't understand the fact of fifty some years of totalitarian brainwashing. "Regime change"? Isn't that some bogus Rumsfeld rhetoric? Or is it Hillary?

unlike, say "Triumph Of The Will" the thoroughly staged 1934 propaganda film of Nazi Germany,

(only two months after the "night of the long knives" this hastened impressive assembly was used primarily to convince the German people that Order was in place, in particular the new leader of the SA--the largest Nazi group by a factor of a hundred. The military was still not under total control and neither was the press or the arts. Not for long, of course)
Image

this, however, isn't fake...they are literally worshiping a living deity. NONE of these people have known any other deity or reality--look, they're virtually all under fifty..they CAN'T rebel.

The differences are profound. But fortunately many of these differences do not favor the nut job republic of Kim. The notion of a swarm of a million soldiers descending into the South of Korea is absurd. Instead of the similar swarm attack of the Chinese in the Korean War, it would be more like Boudica attempting to swarm the Romans at the Battle of Watling St.

China of course is the solution. They can and will put Kim back in his little play pen--which includes regular tantrums, etc., they're cool with that.

No, they didn't. Not even close. Tards like Scheisskopf and Colon Powlyp were blowing so much smoke up your ass it wasn't even funny. Their numbers were totally cooked. We outnumbered them and dramatically so at the point of attack.

The only Iraqi units that were anywhere near their full authorized strength were the RG divisions and there were only four of them in Kuwait. The rest of them were lucky if they were 50% and that was before we started bombing them.

Sorry, b-juice, but you've basically struck out looking. There was no "living God" in Korea whatsoever remotely resembling the 50 some years now rule of the Kims. If you dispute this, let's see it? What?...Nothing as usual?

As usual, Avi-b-juice, you avoid actually making a point or explaining any of your paranoid snippets.

The lesson of Boudica is that sheer mass infantry really doesn't work against a prepared and experienced force, etc. Apply this how you like as far as the Kim horde is concerned.

All of your silliness is just a standard rote reflex of the Limpdick fear button. Just keep pushing it all the time, don't worry about completely bullshitting on basic facts, etc., and blame everything on the "liberals."

I shouldn't have to explain it if you actually knew what you were talking about. The lesson of Boudica is that she didn't have anything else in her pocket. Just a herd of toothless flatheads with no training at all.

Dear Leader, on the other hand, doesn't need to rely on sheer mass of infantry to ruin South Korea. He has artillery and plenty of it much of which is dug into mountains. Something like 2/3rds of the population of South Korea is in range of conventional artillery along with nearly their entire economy.

The only thing I know to go on is what my father has always told me about the Korean peninsula military scenario and he sort of an expert on these matters, probably far more than anyone else here.

The only way to halt the initial advance of the North Korean Military would be tactical Nuclear weapons.

South Korea's active and ready military consists of between 620k and 670k troops, 4/5 of which are conscripts serving their mandatory military service. North Korea on the other hand has over 1 million active and combat ready military personal and approximately between 350k-450k professional career soldiers. Basically North Korea is going to have almost as many hard nosed life long soldiers to throw out on the front lines as South Korea can toss kids with limited training.

North Korea's issue in a military engagement is that their country at peak levels could probably only sustain enough resources for between 17 and 24 days of full combat before having to resort to gorilla warfare without Chinese support.
