surprised i've never gotten any stitches playing basketball. did get the mother of all nosebleeds once when i attempted to inhale some dude's elbow. g0d damn, there's a lotta blood in a nose.

Worst thing that happened to me was that I got an old pair of glasses snapped in half courtesy of a well placed elbow.

we here all this talk about how barry H is such a huge roundball fan, but, to the best of my knowledge, there isn't any actual footage of him actually playing. I do recall seeing a pick of him on the court taking a shot. Maybe he was playing horse or something, but, none of him actually running the court and doing shit like getting his lip busted while chewing on someone's elbows.

now i realize that this is partly to do with the fact that he might not be much of a player and doesn't want footage of him looking like a klutz out there, but, i think it's more than that. if i was CiC I would play with friends. and i am sure it would be video taped and everybody would have a good laugh at my level of roundball suck. but there is a difference between sucking at something and being absolutely clueless.

i think his whitebread sorry ass has never really played and video of him attempting to would make this painfully obvious. in interviews he has already demonstrated that he is a make believe baseball fan. i suspect his playing basketball is a similar charade, but, he has to do what he can to get some street cred with the brothas.

In a way this brings back memories of playing pick up games all day Saturday and/or Sunday in the gym at the U of Maine. I wouldn't last 2 minutes now even at half court. Sigh.

OK, that'll do. He's OK actually for an older occasional player. Not good by any stretch and definitely one handed, but, it appears that he has actually played before.

A real 40+ pickup player is either a horrible ballhog or that guy who gives up open shots just to make that extra pass. It's allways either/or.

I would guess that most of the time he plays away from the cameras on the White House court. If I remember correctly, the White House basketball court is located where the bowling alley used to be. Can't say I blame him for that.

One thing I can empathize with him on is being a lefty and not being able to go to my right. I had to score early because it didn't take too long for the defense to figure out my limitation and shut me down. Good thing I could play defense and keep in the game. Rack the good athletes being ambidextrous or at least working at it.
