They more likely fired him because he didn't play the opening chords to Hells Bells for the 45th time in one game.
That pisses me off. I always get fooled for a split-second and think they're playing "For Whom the Bell Tolls." Sorta like the feeling you get when you think you're gonna hear "Rock of Ages" but it ends up being that nauseating Offspring song.Screw_Michigan wrote:They more likely fired him because he didn't play the opening chords to Hells Bells for the 45th time in one game.
Funny. They actually play For Whom the Bell Tolls at Capitals games. Pretty sweet. But Rock of Ages/Offspring song are both pretty nauseating. The world needs less Def Leppard.MiketheangrydrunkenCUfan wrote:That pisses me off. I always get fooled for a split-second and think they're playing "For Whom the Bell Tolls." I'm a sucker for old-school Def Leppard. In my early teens, I was all about Pyromania and High & Dry. I still think those are pretty great hard rock albums. Hysteria was a pretty blatant cash-grab, but it still had a few decent moments. Anything beyond that is total shite. I'm not gonna prop them up as brilliant or groundbreaking, but they're 10,000x better than fucking Offspring. The only cool thing Offspring ever did was try to name one of their later albums Chinese Democracy, which earned them a quick cease-and-desist from Axl. Kind of a clever move, I have to admit.Screw_Michigan wrote:Funny. They actually play For Whom the Bell Tolls at Capitals games. Pretty sweet. The drummer losing an arm may have had something to do with that.MiketheangrydrunkenCUfan wrote:I'm a sucker for old-school Def Leppard. In my early teens, I was all about Pyromania and High & Dry.
