Seems like a roll of the dice, felt the same way when Urban was hired though.
Go Bucs, Gators

Not sure if losing him sucks. If I recall his defense wasn't worth a fuck this year and was never really as good as it was hyped to be in his tenure. I say adios mo fo.

Word on the street is Randy Shannon spurned a job at Kentucky and may be the leading man for Texas. Either WM can kiss my ass. I'm glad he's gone. Biggest combo of hype and flop this side of Iowa football in my opinion.

supposedly S&C coach "Mad Dog" is possible to Colorado, sayeth the message boards....in the if Coach Mac breathed on you in the 80's, we want you back Embree/Bienemy staff moves. UT WR coach Bobby Kennedy's name (Boulder High grad) is also rumored for CU relocate.Believe the Heupel wrote:Heard he's taking Applewhite with him.
Biggest upside: don't have to hear you fuckers babble about Coach Boom all the time.
You guys should also be happy that there's finally been some major shakeups in the Texas staff. You guys needed 'em.
Coach Boom, heh. Must have seen what Chiz is doing and wants a little trim of his own. it took Mack getting 60 put on him twice in Dallas to finally can Bull Reese.

Re: Will Muschamps to Florida
This team had no leadership. They were missing that one player who everyone respected. In 2005 we had Vince. Everyone respected his leadership and would do whatever he said. Orakpo and MIller were the next 2 that held that position. Colt took it for his 2 years. This team had guys that wanted to lead and lead by example.
The 2010 team didn't have that. You had a defense that lost a bunch to the NFL and no one on offense that was willing to step up and be the man. Davis didn't help with his shitty play calling.
Muschamps knew coming in to this year that we were thin at DL. That was my biggest fear for this team. We could not get any penetration. We had 2 guys that were good in Acho and Randall. After that, freshman. The good news is that they RS the guys from last year and they should be good.
From what I have read, Will wanted to be HC after this year and Mack was thinking that 2010 would be his last year. After the shitty season, Mack decided to stay. It pissed Will off. Oh well.
The only question about this whole hiring was that it is sketchy if Florida contacted Texas about permission to talk with Will. If they didn't, that could be a problem.
The word around the campfire is that Texas will go after Randy Shannon. Mack and Randy have been friends from way back. The guy can coach defense too. I like it and they need to make that happen ASAP. The next step is to get Brian Harsin as our OC. That would be a dream scenario.
I have also read that WM is thinking of taking Major with him to Florida as the OC. Good luck with that. I love what MA did for Texas as a player and if he chooses to leave, so be it. I would also not be surprised if Florida goes after Kirby Smart for the DC job. It seems that him and Will are pretty tight.
Good luck to Coach Muschamps. I wish him well in Florida. Unlike CF, I think he was a good coach who did really nice things at Texas. If I am a OC in the SEC, I start breaking out the Pistol when I am facing WM. That was his Kryptonite.

to be fair, only Austin Bill that defended Greg Robinson on here as i recall. i could have coached that 04 horn D with Derrick Johnson, Huff, and those guys. they were sick in 05, minus DJ.M Club wrote:i think a greg robinson/tejas prodigal son story would be wonderful.

I think it is a big roll of the dice. I'm surprised that Foley got the hire done so quickly.Bucmonkey wrote:Seems like a roll of the dice, felt the same way when Urban was hired though.
