We've spent somewhere in the area of 3 trillion on this stimulus. For almost the same amount of money you could have given every American homeowner 50k and we would have been WELL out of this recession.

Wait... isn't that what we did for the biggest deadbeats in America... the banks? At least most individual citizens attempt to pay their bills on time. I've been doing work for banks for right at a decade now and only seen an invoice actually paid within 90 days a handful of times and by only two banking institutions. If anyone attempts to report them and then their name ends up in newspapers for being filed on for debt collection you get blackballed. I know a number of people who have retired and said screw it as they filed the court papers. Hopefully someday I'll have that opportunity as well.
