be allowed to own a pet? More specifically a dog?

I suggest that they start by allowing him a pet rock. If he goes say a year or two without organizing rock fights, then he can have a gold fish or a guppy. Anything higher that that on a taxonomic scale is out.

I would have him run (and fund) a pet rescue program. I would stipulate that if he was caught abusing any of these animals, he'd be put away for a at least 10 years which would be long enough to ensure he never ade another dime playing football.

Are we asking the question from a legal perspective, or from a moral perspective? Because my answer is different, depending.

From a legal perspective, he shouldn't be allowed to own a pet while he's under parole supervision. If the parole board did not include that as a condition of parole, shame on them. Once his parole supervision ends, though, he's free, at least from a legal standpoint, to do anything that wouldn't otherwise be unlawful.

From strictly a moral standpoint, I don't think he should. Then again, that's just my personal opinion, and there's no way to force it on him.

So if you had a sister whose pedo husband had shared custody of the little ones, you'd be ok with that? Or only if he played for the fucking eagles? It would be a hell no no brainer. Animals do not deserve the rights as humans, but they don't deserve to be owned by animals which Vick barely qualifies as.

Reading comprehension much? Where the hell am I defending pedo's rights? I'll leave that for Diego. I'm simply talking about the absurd association of humans rights to dog rights. They're not in any way related since there is no equal protection under the law. But to make sure my own my own person view point on the matter was clear I started with
