Dude is probably making more money panhandling with a hook like that than he would doing radio spots. If he really has been successfully managing his addictions for the last two years, there is no way he's homeless unless he wants it that way.

This guy is no phony, at least not yet. A few days or weeks of the media tugging at him may change that and who knows how he's going to act once the camera lights turn off and he gets some money in his pocket.
