Sitting here getting my daily marching orders from fox news and they are interviewing some broad who was handed a ticket for her daughter's calling out chuck D jaywalking.

She was handed this ticket while she is sitting in the ER waiting room a short time after her daughter played human speed bump and was fighting for her life. reporterette chicks goes on about what an outrage it is.

Is it really?

I agree that maybe the timing is a bit off, but, the fact remains that a bad accident with serious legal/financial implications happened and it is the cops yob to make some sort of legal record here which includes placing blame.

Of course this broad goes on to say that even though there are no crosswalk marks or signs, this is an established crossing spot and therefore, it ain't jaywalking. This bitch is looking for a payday before her kid even comes out of her coma.

Teach your kids how to cross a fukking street lady. And don't forget to buy a new rig for the poor bastard your daughter stepped in front of as there is a decent chance that it is totaled.

Depends if it was at an intersection or not. In DC, jaywalking tickets are like $10. Sounds like your typical Fox News "create the outrage."

no body gives a rat's ass how much the fine was. their "outrage" was the timing of it.

In CA pedestrians have the right of way at all corners even if they're not marked with a crosswalk.

This is not, however, an excuse for being a dumbfuck. Right of way won't save your life if you step out in front of a car going 55 on a six lane expressway.

A pregnant twenty-something stepped DIRECTLY in front of my car a few weeks ago and slapped a little cardboard "homeless, please blah blah blah...." sign on my windshield as I was searching for a parking space in the PetSmart/Wal-Mart shopping center a few weeks ago.

Took all I had NOT to get out of my vehicle and cunt-kick the whore.

Of course there is always the lazy Messicans from the trailer park slums who try to cross 4 lanes at 45 mph, 28,000 cars per day. No need to go the controlled intersection, just cross anywhere.

Sometimes the Messicans make it across, sometimes they "miss time " a bit and get laid out by car. Or all the lanes except 1 stop and they run across the stopped lanes , AND the moving lane and it is there they get thumped. Or one of the stopped cars gets butt slammed by a driver NOT wanting to stop. Happens about 3 to 4 times a year by the wife's store.

And the local sheriff in Salem cited a fire chief for excessive speed. He was going Code 3 ( proven by data logger) doing 62 mph in a 45 when,this idiot turns left into his lane. They said it was excessive speed. Hmm.....not a failure to yield to emergency vehicle ?

What about all the 5-0 who drive faster than the speed limit ?
