I guess Mr. Saccharin believes that Michigan State would finish 8th in the PAC 10.

Oh, and yes, Alabama is definitely overrated.

Are you reading the same list that I'm reading? The one I see has only two PAC 12 teams listed above MSU.

MSU is at 31. There are 5 PAC schools between 21 and 30.

:meds:

Yeah, I know..........Iowa was only 2-0 vs the Big-12 this year and 4-4 against the Big-10, so obviously Iowa can't hang in such an elite conference.

And wow, that was quite an impressive showing by the Big-12 in bowls this year. Your conference faced 2 quality opponents total in bowl games (I'm counting Iowa because they actually showed up, and LSU) and laid a big fat goose egg in those 2 games. Losses to Syracuse, LSU, Iowa, Washington ( ), and Illinois. Ouch. Wins against........get ready for it.........UCONN, Northwestern (without Persa, so it doesn't really count), and a 7-5 Arizona team that quit on the season at halftime of the Iowa game.

3-5 against the easiest bowl schedule a BCS conference has EVER had???? Care to explain that????

easy cool breeze, i was just having some fun with Sagarin. I'm not the conference warrior you are. but, i do enjoy your "i'm not a Big Ten homer" explosion of posts about this seasons bowls and how the Big XII sucks. This is probably the 5th or 6th time you've unloaded this tome of non-homerism. Iowa beat ISU (woo!) and Missouri....so that surely makes for a comprehensive argument. Iowa probably would have won every Big XII title since the conference was formed. why not hit for the cycle and take a shot at Jason White (who isn't as good as Drew Tate).

Why would I take a shot at Jason White? It's not like he's playing football anymore..........

Actually, I really don't give a damn about conference strength. I just get annoyed of hearing about how bad the Big-10 sucks. If you were an Iowa fan and lived in this state, you may understand why. ISU fans are of the belief that if they were in the Big-10, they would be contending for conference titles EVERY YEAR. The only difference between Iowa and ISU is our conferences.........just ask their fans. It gets annoying having to listen to that crap.

And yes, they actually do believe that to be true. And it's not a small minority. I'm talking the MAJORITY of the fan base. What they don't understand is the real strength of the Big-12 (most years) is actually in the South and the North has been very weak (most years).

Iowa has never had a quality season according to our little brothers to the east. We only win because of how bad our conference is - never mind the fact that we have a 6-3 bowl record in the last decade against some pretty good competition, but that's besides the point.

Honestly, if it weren't for ISU fans and their CONSTANT downplaying of Iowa's success, I wouldn't give a shit about any conference. Try having someone tell you that EVERY win Oklahoma has is only because their opponent sucked (even if they are ranked in the Top 10) and see if you don't get annoyed of it.

Not sure how Oregon finished behind a team it beat by 21 in the regular season.

And ND at #19 is way overrated.
