Let us, if we can, get past the fact it's two stool-pidgeons, just for a sec...

tossing aside the tosser part, does anyone find it weird that a 70-something year old dude is adopting kids?

Those who are opposed to same sex marriage had an opportunity to argue to Judge Walker that children with same sex parents would not become well-adjusted or would have developmental problems.

As the judge noted, that is not what the evidence shows.
Perry et al v. Schwarzenegger et al

...

Michael Lamb, a psychologist, testified as an expert on the
developmental psychology of children, including the
developmental psychology of children raised by gay and lesbian
parents. Lamb offered two opinions: (1) children raised by
gays and lesbians are just as likely to be well-adjusted as
children raised by heterosexual parents; and (2) children of
gay and lesbian parents would benefit if their parents were
able to marry. Tr 1009:23-1010:4.
a. PX2327 Lamb CV: Lamb is a professor and head of the
Department of Social and Developmental Psychology at the
University of Cambridge in England;
b. Tr 1003:24-1004:6; PX2327: Lamb was the head of the
section on social and emotional development of the
National Institute of Child Health and Human Development
in Washington DC for seventeen years;
c. Tr 1007:2-1008:8; PX2327: Lamb has published
approximately 500 articles, many about child adjustment,
has edited 40 books in developmental psychology, reviews
about 100 articles a year and serves on editorial boards
on several academic journals;
d. PX2327: Lamb received a PhD from Yale University in 1976.

...

The gender of a child’s parent is not a factor in a child’s
adjustment. The sexual orientation of an individual does not
determine whether that individual can be a good parent.
Children raised by gay or lesbian parents are as likely as
children raised by heterosexual parents to be healthy,
successful and well-adjusted. The research supporting this
conclusion is accepted beyond serious debate in the field of
developmental psychology.
a. Tr 1025:4-23 (Lamb: Studies have demonstrated “very
conclusively that children who are raised by gay and
lesbian parents are just as likely to be well-adjusted as
children raised by heterosexual parents.” These results
are “completely consistent with our broader understanding
of the factors that affect children’s adjustment.”);
b. PX2565 American Psychological Association, Answers to
Your Questions: For a Better Understanding of Sexual
Orientation and Homosexuality at 5 (2008): “ocial
science has shown that the concerns often raised about
children of lesbian and gay parents —— concerns that are
generally grounded in prejudice against and stereotypes
about gay people —— are unfounded.”;
c. PX2547 (Nathanson Nov 12, 2009 Dep Tr 49:05-49:19:
Sociological and psychological peer-reviewed studies
conclude that permitting gay and lesbian individuals to
marry does not cause any problems for children); PX2546
at 2:20-3:10 (video of same).
71. Children do not need to be raised by a male parent and a
female parent to be well-adjusted, and having both a male and
a female parent does not increase the likelihood that a child
will be well-adjusted. Tr 1014:25-1015:19; 1038:23-1040:17
(Lamb). ...

I would be interested in seeing the details of this study.

How large is the pool of kids of G/L couples that have already reached adulthood. And when I say adulthood, I guess I should have said something more like the age of 25-30, which would be a much better gauge of how well adjusted that person is.

I would also like to see the control group. Are they from families that had fertility issues? Such families are probably going to have more successful kids on average because the parents had to do something moer than drink too much tequila to get pregnant.

What are you talking about? That is when their little hand raised meat puppet will start to become "interesting" to them.

Of course you do have a point. This kid is nothing more than a prop for two old queens playing house together.

The first junior high school post fight meeting they have to go to after the little one slaps somebody because his friends asked him which of his Daddy's gets in the ass from the other one.

But me thinks that kid never sees a school where that shit would be allowed to go on. That behavior from a well paying student is not going to be tolerated at some high brow limey school.

But the musical background is going to be pretty good though.

The really weird part that I heard when I saw this story on the news a couple of weeks ago was that the child was born on Christmas Day.

So I'm sure you can guess what Sir Elton named him.

Yup, Levon.
