Uhhhhhhh...

Looks like the Steelers are doing the reverse of last week...look like shit in the first half but buckle down in the second half. The Jets look completely different in this half.

Worst playcalling at the goal line, ever.

I don't know if you call that a goal line stand by the Steelers or just a lay down by the Jets.

At least the Jets made it interesting. They dug themselves too deep a hole early.

Oh hell yea. Sure the 2nd half was sloppy. But the Steelers are in the Super Bowl baby.

I'll make the same obvious observation about the Sanchez play that I made about the Ben play last week.

That is, this play was correctly ruled, -----> but ACCORDING TO LEAGUE EXPLANATION AFTER THE BRADY PLAY, needed to be ruled an incomplete pass.

Unless of course they want to admit that they ruled the Brady play the wrong way.

Sanchez made a short pump at :11 and then brought the ball to his left hand - which we were told is NOT a tuck.

Coleman: After a forward movement of the ball, he (Brady) would have had to have brought it (the ball) all the way in and got it all the way underneath his arm in order for it [to be a fumble].

Periera: After a forward movement of the ball, the ball has to be all the way back at the side of your body, then get jarred loose for it to be a fumble.

Of course Bri and Mace will try to say that Sanchez' first throwing motion had obviously ended, so don't be a dumbfuck.

Then I will again ask, "If you want to declare that his first throwing motion had concluded, then WHEN exactly did it end?"

They can not answer.

Instead they'll stomp their feet, name-call, and mock - the last gasp tactic of one who is holding to a beaten position.

The ball went backwards. So no matter how you try to split hairs, the ball was live.

This play was ruled correctly.

But your comment is interesting.

If a QB is in the act of passing, it doesn't matter what direction the ball goes when it comes free.
It can go forward, backward, sideways ----> and it's still an incomplete pass.

A backwards pass is a lateral. And it is a live ball. This fact is not changed by a defensive player contacting the QB.

A lateral is a lateral.

It's not a pass.

RACK the Steelers...

.
.
.

... defense, that is. They once again snatched victory from the jaws of defeat despite Rapistberger's every effort to lose this game. 10 completions. 2 INT. 1 Safety. 35.5 QB rapting. Not quite as bad as the Super Bowl XL game with his 22.6 rapting. Slightly better than 2004 Div Game against the Jest (57.8 ratping.)

It seems like the worse Rapistberger plays, the more the Steelers win. They are 3-0 in his 3 worst three playoff performances. When I think of the most overrated QBs of all-time, this loser is at the top of the list.

No shit fucktardt. All Eddie Guns said was that the ruling was confirmed. The ruling was a recovered fumble. When a lateral (also known as a BACKWARDS PASS) is thrown, it is also treated as a fumble.

You are seriously the densest motherfucker in the universe.

Are you fucking HIGH???? That ball DID NOT go backwards...it went AT LEAST 1-2 feet FORWARD! The video Pops posted shows it CLEARLY!! It was a horseshit call that cost the Jets the ballgame.

Sanchez's back foot was halfway between the 19 and the 20 when the ball was knocked out of his hand. The ball landed on the 19. STFU tubby.

Clearly? Clearly?? You're talking about the weird replay angle after the fact. Disregard that one (pretend it's the fruit/vegetable section at King Buffet.)

I froze the image below just as Dirty is being hit. Notice Dirty's left foot almost at the 21 yard line. His arm is just behind the 20. The ball lands at about the 19 and a half. There is nothing clear about this. If I had to guess, I'd say the ball definitely did not come out forward...

His arm had forward momentum, with control of the ball in a passing motion.

It was a forward pass. EOS.

That was a forward fucking pass, plain and simple. Goodell probably called the replay booth himself to ensure the Jets would get screwed. This is a huge conspiracy to screw the Jets and I can't believe no one in the national press has the balls to admit it because the Stillers are the NFL's golden boys.

I thought NE was the NFL's golden boys? Or did their time pass already?

Just so we're on the same page here. Suspend the Rapist. Fine their players repeatedly for questionable hits. Change the game in mid-season because the Steelers hit too hard. But at the end of the year, make sure they're in the Super Bowl. It that what you're selling?

Forward Pass

"By interpretation, a pass begins when the passer -- with possession of ball -- starts to bring his hand forward."

"When a passer is holding the ball to pass it forward, any intentional movement forward of his arm starts a forward pass. If a defensive player contacts the passer or the ball after forward movement begins, and the ball leaves the passer’s hand, a forward pass is ruled, regardless of where the ball strikes the ground or a player. "

Done.

Except when he coaches a team from the largest media market in the country. 2 weeks to develop stories on Rex Ryan or 2 weeks to develop stories about why Rooney likes "the blacks" ??

Hey, dumbass. Market size really doesn't matter when it comes to the Super Bowl as compared to say the World Series. They're gonna get excellent ratings if its Jags-Seahawks, so the league doesn't really get much of a boost if a large market team is involved. Plus, Jets aren't nearly as big of a fanbase as say the Giants.

Too bad. Taylor contacted Sanchez before any forward movement anyway. Now go and suck off a cheesehead.

Even though you're clearly WRONG, it really doesn't matter. Your team benefitted from it and are now going to play for the Lombardi Trophy yet again.

See how easy that was?

It does because Taylor's impact is what caused the ball to come lose in the first place. Ergo, there was no forward pass.
