I saw this story and many things were alarming, but one statistic stuck out as, well, almost unbelievable.
So of course I had to post it here.


The almost unbelievable statistic is this: 4% of black U.S. high school students are proficient in science.

Take a look at the USA's racial demographic statistics vs. the countries ahead of them and tell me what you see. The fact we are 13th shocks me. I would have guessed around 25 or so.
