I get the historical significance and all, but seriously, who's the bloated dipshit that decided to tie a dead goat to a fucking statue. Not once but TWICE? Where do you even get a dead goat in Chicago?

Fandom be damned. Someone threw a dead goat into their car, dragged it into the city and took the time to hang it on the monument to fucking up every player's name and not falling out of the press box in the seventh inning. That's not love for their team. That's just fucking loony. You could chalk it up to a deranged crackpot.............if it only happened once.

Kind of makes the Detroit tradition of sticking a raw octopus in your shorts and sneaking it into Joe Louis Arena so you can throw it on the ice during a playoff game seem relatively sane.

That statue is regularly vandalized. The rivalry between the Cubs and Sox fan bases is pretty fierce. It's like a Socs vs Greasers thing. Goat carcasses are a tad extreme, but I still think the Cubs claim the douchiest fan base on the planet.
