"...Much of the gains for the economy and financial markets have come courtesy of government stimulus, in particular the Federal Reserve's two quantitative-easing programs. The second of those programs, a $600 billion plan to buy U.S. government debt, ends in June....

..."Everybody understands that one day the game will end, and they all believe they can be the first one out the door," says Howard Simons, a strategist at Bianco Research in Chicago. "The day the Fed says OK, game over, everybody out of the pool, that'll be an ugly day."..."

uhhh, i think we're already smack dab in the middle of those ugly days. but, yes, you are correct. it's gonna get uglier before it gets prettier.
