bound to be coming soon to an arena (or casino) near you.
The Osbournes $1.7 Million In Debt, Risk Losing Home
Even the Prince of Darkness has to pay up to Uncle Sam.
Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne owe more than $1.7 million in back taxes to the IRS, according to Financial-Planning.com. The rocker turned reality star, 62, and his wife and manager, 58, reportedly owe $718,948 from 2008 and $1.024 million from 2009.
The IRS has placed a lien on their Los Angeles house, meaning if the Osbournes don't pay up soon, they're in serious danger of losing their home.
Free Ozzy!

They make a lot of money. But they also spend a lot of money.

Seriously? You owe taxes? Not very good planning on your part. But I’ll let you in on a little trick I used years ago when I was young and foolish (not that you’re all that young). Hopefully it still works.
You fill in the first part of your return. Income, deductions, etc. There should be some spot on the form where it says, “Stop here if you’d like the IRS to determine your tax for you.” Then you mail the form on April 15.
It took them until early June to reply with the amount they felt I owed. Funny thing, it matched what I had figured on my worksheet. Then they said I had six weeks to pay. So I paid my taxes around the end of July.
Don’t know if it still works that way, but you might want to check it out.

Remember that supposed tax cut Obama gave us last year where they took less out of your paycheck to help stimulate the economy? They're taking it back now.
That, and the fact that I can't claim my daughter anymore as she's filing herself. At least she got $1,700 back, or basically, all she paid in.
And yeah, I'll be filling out a new W-4 having them take more out each week so I'm not bitching about this again next year. I'd never owed federal taxes before, just state because my wife works in Kansas and we get hit twice. Have I ever mentioned how much I fucking hate Kansas?

What is so 'bad planning' about giving someone money before you have to?
Has the Time Value of Money not reached Shithole, WI yet?

Evidently they forgot to pay the shitload of taxes that went along with it. Too bad he wasn't selected as Treasury Secretary.

Other than everything?
Always hold your money until the last possible second. It's a very simple rule.

Apparently the concept of saving for known expenses has not yet reached KC. That's where I was headed, little nipper. Sorry it wasn't obvious enough for you.

The goal is to owe zero and get back zero, simpletons.

Actually, no.
The idea is to withhold as little as is necessary by law, and then pay the balance on April 15. That way, you hold onto your own money as long as possible.

I dont know how the Osbournes owe money to anyone. I tend to think they are in the "make more money then anyone of us can dream about" type range. Odd. I guess the royalties for Crazy Train arent what they used to be.

I forgot to include the word 'not'... as in 'not giving' before mashing submit. However, giving the fact that I dropped the TVM concept in the same post, it should have been fairly obvious.

There will always be young men under the age of 20 who buy into the theory of Ozzy still being a bad ass. Suckers.

The current reincarnation of Ozzy is a farce. No surprise you endorse him.

Uhm... Ozzy has sucked since Randall William Rhoads decided to hop on a shitty little plane piloted by a coked-out tour bus driver.... or about 30 years.
