I understand they build a statue of any coach that wins an MNC. Personally, I think statues of folks still alive are incredibly lame. Statues of dudes ACTIVELY COACHING YOUR TEAM reaches a new level of sadness. What happens if he flames out, gets fired, puts Bama on probation, and gets his title vacated? Do they call in the demo crew?

Gene Stallings' statue is there, so the answer is a resounding "We'll suck a coach's dick for a MNC!"

I'm with you Mgo, why they put up a statue while he is still there, much less with allegations going around, is beyond me. With his reputation of bailing, why do it now? He may Pete Carrol that program.

That statue looks like it should be in a planet of the apes sequel.

Yeah, but the design is versatile, so one day they can put a plane ticket in the left hand with the right hand waving goodbye.

so it's Nick Saban with Pat Riley's late 80's hair?
how does that work, again?
at least he's not festooned with Nike garb like the Ernie Davis statue from a few years ago at Syracuse....for different historical reasons but the same overarching logic.
