I don't know what part of Alabamy you live in but if it's anywhere near Tuscaloosa, you just got rolled by what looked like one mean ass tornado or six. If you're in the basement right now, I would understand.
Good Luck.

weather channel interviewed the mayor of Tuscaloosa. It sounds bad, real bad. I was going to make some stupid rimshot joke about the SEC meatgrinder, but not now.
The only good thing that might come of this is they say it might hit DC later tonight or tomorrow and if it does, I hope it breaks Screwey's record player.

I hope Sam doesn't follow your advice Wags. It would be better if he battened down the hatches... you know with these things called "battens."

it's an old play on a Wolfman line, AP, sorta' like dumpater.
I guess you missed it.
Besides, there might not have been anything left to attach a batten to.

15 confirmed dead in Tuscaloosa, 40 in-state.
Funnel cloud just missed Bryant Denny Stadium. Didn't miss a hospital, though.
They have put out a statewide call for ambulances and emergency vehicles.

For all intensive purposes one should barren down the hatches before a tornado hits, otherwise that thing will run rough shot on your home.

No shit.
Tornado season doesn't even start in these parts until May.
About that first video Sam posted - that guy has some cast iron gonads Screwball would be proud of. That, or he's not heard of Darwin. I see something like that right in front of me, I'm putting it in the rearview mirror as fast as possible. Did just that in 2004 the last time confronted with such a monster.

I would think that severe tornados in the Deep South might be more deadly than in the traditional Tornado Alley simply because a lot of the houses down there don’t have basements.

Jsc810 wrote:Now in the Emergency Operations Command meeting for Louisiana, NOAA, FEMA, Corps of Engineers, military, all sorts of agencies here. Listening to presentation they are putting this into historical perspective, many places all along the Miss. River will see record flooding. Snow melting + heavy rain + current weather patterns = not good at all. The types of tornados and storms we've already seen will continue for weeks, what happened in Alabama likely will happen in many other places. The levees will be stressed and tested in ways that has never happened before.
The crawfish farmers will be happy, we should have some nice crawfish as a result of all this. That's reaching for a silver lining in a dark cloud though.

Interesting weather day.
I went to National Weather Service radar site and found where the tornados were. They went to radioreference.com and listened to the EMS, Fire and Police freq's. for those areas. Fucking unreal, that I can sit here 2000 miles away, in a state where shit does NOT come down out of the sky and kill you, and listen to this shit as it goes down.
Some real terror and emotion in the police, and fire voices as they try to help people.

Who cares? At least our lazy, fucked up niggger Pres__ent is having a good time while hundreds of people are dying in the deadliest tornado in US history. He is focused like a laser on what is truly important: Appearing on Oprah and at fund raisers for the wealthy elite.

Yeah, because it would be a swell idea for him to go there when LE resources are already spread thin.

X infinity.

First of all, I in no way way support Obama.
Secondly, based on your history here, I assume what ever link you posted in support of your point probably relates to something that happened three years ago.

Or maybe it would be a swell idea to actually display some leadership and let the American public in on whatever it is he's doing other than having a good time.
On second thought, it's pretty clear that he isn't doing anything other partying on our dime. I'm sure he's looking to fit in his 65th round of golf since taking office. That's what? About six and half working weeks spent golfing while the country is in its worst tailspin since the Depression.
Go ahead and make some more lame excuses for him though, you kiddy diddling halfwit.

Goddamn, you're a dumbfuck. The stock market doesn't have jackfuckingshit to do with the economy. Of course all of Oniggger's Wall Street buddies are getting over and that's what's really important, right? Nevermind crushing unemployment, skyrocketing energy costs and massive increases in the cost of food.

Plus it should be noted that stock prices don't move due to individual investment. Institutions (like banks) make the prices move.

Jsc,
Look at the value of the American dollar vs. foreign currencies. Stock prices are no indicator of how the economy is doing. The value of the dollar is.

When white folks do it, it's foraging. When black folks do it, it's looting.
