i'm going to have to pimp going to Vandy much harder. i've got to create some "brand" identity, here.

they've been pretty good in baseball the last decade or so. gagged as a #1 regional seed maybe 2 years ago. but, i follow OU baseball....at Vandy, no one cared about sports when i was there. and they were OK in basketball, but i had a buddy who walked on to the baseball team and they weren't very good. hell, i had an invite to walk-on to the golf team....but i was too high, and working at the radio station to actually practice the right way to make it. tryouts i shoot 72-83 (!)-76.

i had lost the drive to practice and shit about the beginning of summer. the 83 round is one of my fave rounds of golf ever....why? i drive it OB *twice* on the first hole and make 10 (par 5). i hit a fantastic approach shot on the next hole, that bounces off a sprinkler head on the fringe sideways into a house construction site that is also OB. find this out as we are on the green (i thought i was close)....walk back pissed to hell, and airmail the same club over the green....hate fuck 8 iron....also into the construction site that is marked OB about 10 yards closer than would be normal......hit another iron on the green, two putt for an easy 8. 9 over after two having shot even the day before. play the next 16 holes 2 over with a double. golf coach thought i was a stoner and i was from Oklahoma and he was from Newton or Weston, Mass.....blueblood yankee suburb of Boston....thought i was a hillbilly.

Thanks for sharing, dude. But what about my question? What's with the blue and orange? Or maybe you're just subtly saying "you got me..." Which is fair enough.

i grew up in Norman, my uncle is the answer to the question: " who did Jack Mildren beat out to play QB in the wishbone"?' Mildren was a hack that was also a 2 time All-American. i played little league against Barry Switzer's sons.

i went to every OU home game from 75 to 90. and pretty much all the basketball games too, before it was cool.

i take offense when people claim they are "more Oklahoma" football than me (and i know you are not).....just because they made some C's at OU and lived in Norman for 4 years.

no way.

See, your connection to OU is a little more tangible than Killitard's connection to Notre Dame, other than growing up Catholic. You are also less of a cunt than Killitard, so you are forgiven.

Has anyone affiliated with your football program killed anyone lately? ND's already got two on you.

And it's one, dummy. One kid died as a result of something Notre Dame did. I guess being a cunt is now defined as smacking Big 10 academic rejects around on a message board. Props to me.

You mean other than absolving BK of any and all responsibility involved in Declan Sullivan's death?

"less of a cunt".....that's what you got here?

i don't like ND but i don't make it a lifestyle choice to hate on them, either. OU fan already has the barbarian horde to the south that ESPN has been trying to love up for a decade. i try and use my irrational energies to fight the real fight with Texas. Terry and Killian are guys who at least think before they post...

Go ahead and link up where I absolved him of all responsibility. You've been down this road before, and it doesn't end well for you.

TV crews will only go as far as their vans (and makeup stations) will go.

Most of the damage can only be reached on foot, with a chainsaw.

How far are you from "the path" that can be seen from Google maps?

Spent the last two days trying to get friends moved out of their now-destroyed homes. The damage is so much worse than what you see on TV.
I can imagine, having seen up close what an EF5 can do to a neighborhood or an entire subdivision. Which is nothing compared to the killer that went on a 370 mile rampage thru your entire region.

Good to know you came out unscathed, Froz. Folks in these parts know what you're going thru. Good luck on the recovery efforts. It will take years in some places and some will never be what they once were.

Don't you guys have helicopters down there or are all flying vehicles banned in SEC land?

A relief copter might turn out to have a team going OOC months early...not likely, but banning all flight is still a good idea.
