To think that I was about to give up all hope on new artist, maybe there is still some hope. The CD reminds me a lot of the good old 80s, a touch of New Order, Smiths and the Cure all rolled into one.

Today's top artists
#1 Keane
#2 The Killers
#3 (Still looking)

I liked them when they were called Modern English.

The drummer Ronnie Vennucci is a good friend of my best friend. They graduated from high school here, and even jammed together a few times. I guess Vennucci is a good guy,but then again last time he talked to him was long before the Killers broke through.

Why don't you just bury yourself in a pile of unlistenable CDs and then have a good friend light them on fire?

Fraudo's too busy trying to score with his hottie new neighbor in between teaching history, Web design and basement remodeling to be bothered with CD-burning parties. He's waiting for the big get-together at church for that this weekend.

give those killers and keane cd's a couple of weeks worth of daily listens
and they'll soon blend on with the rest of your painfully mediocore music
collection.

I'm down with this retro-80s Euro pop movement that's going on right now. I love The Killers and Franz Ferdinand. I don't really like Keane...too mellow and Coldplay has done the piano pop thing a little better. We could use a good hard rock boom sometime soon before we get too saturated with Euro pop and piano pop.

Louis XIV. I might have to actually check out some more from these guys.

I liked that song until they screwed it up with that female chorus shit. Song would be deece w/o it.

If you liked that video, I'll send you a CD of the band they are skimming off; The Fall.

Just checked out a couple of clips by The Fall on iTunes. Yeah, I can see a similarity. I would have called Louis XIV kind of a Stones meet the Strokes kind of thing. But you'd stil be righter.

I still like "Finding Out..." though.

-kicker conspiracy
-hit the north
-I am Damo Suzuki

Also try a band called Railroad Jerk. Not as arty as the Fall, but still great.
