Braves Might Want to Rethink Starting Smoltz

Dude gave up five runs in one and two-thirds innings today including a grand salami in the first. I saw his last spring training start in Orlando and he gave up five runs in five. His elbow has been cut on four times. Bobby might want to send him back to the bully.

It's only one start...the guy looked solid in the spring. Considering his past success, I don't think you throw the guy back into the 'pen without letting him go a dozen starts or so. If he struggles as a starter and Kolb gets hurt, I can see him moving back to closer but for now, he's going to be a starter.

Smoltz will be ok. It was opening day,and the only pitcher who has looked somewhat decent was Josh Beckett.
