in between hating against OU and loving in principle Gundy's O...Mike didn't seem real unhappy to see Dana H. go. i liked Larry Fedora, too.

i'm not a Kevin Wilson hater completely.....but, taking the Indiana job says something to me, no one with a future at OU takes the Indiana job.

exactly my point. if it weren't for the Fat Man winning the Orange Bowl at Kansas, i'd say this has the same feel as Mangino being encouraged to take the Kansas job from an OU perspective. no one takes the IU or Kansas job. Mangino was on the way out at OU. Heupel is calling the plays from the LOS in 2000. 2001 is about the best OU D since 75 or 86, most anemic on O...maybe ever. lose to 3 win Les Miles at home. i still baffle at that. inna day, i was listening to that game on the radio....on a shit couch in my apartment. i couldn't believe it. drooling in sleep-nap, ya nap...."we lost to those guys?".

no real run game under Wilson, against any team with a legit front 7. even MIssouri last year. and shit, Mizzou hasn't stopped anyone in a decade. Heupel is a fan darling, but we'll see. he's a Leach guy, basically.....we'll see. not exactly Billy Sims and David Overstreet, Kenny King up the middle, pulling guard credentials.

Wilson is not Bob's heir apparent, appears to be Venables.

"Colin Dunlap, a Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reporter and the paper's former West Virginia beat writer, told 93.7 The Fan in Pittsburgh -- around the midnight hour -- that Stewart called him on Dec. 18 and asked him to dig up "dirt" on newly named coach-in-waiting Dana Holgorsen."

looks like Stewart didn't want to leave but has been outed. this was a disaster waiting to happen....with Holgerson's casino boozing antics turning it up to 11.

It probably explains why WVU looked so crappy in their Bowl Game too.

This is going to get interesting.

this and Muschamp taking the UF job may bury the HCIW idea as a "trend".

That OSewe game was the only game I didn't get to attend that season home or away. I was stuck in Pittsburgh because of work and school at the time. It was also the game of the now infamous coffee table incident that some of the long time posters here might recall concerning my drunken leg lift and two weeks of scrambling around town and begging my grandmother for money to be able to replace it before my fiance made it up after the semester at OU and a short visit to her parents . . . and I still got busted on it. Fuck Mark Mangino for that game, fuck Less Miles, and fuck OSewe!!!

that game sucked balls. i went to the AFA game down at the Academy in 01. funny, the local Denver sports talk morons (Irv and Joe, Mike tADCF) are going on about how tough AFA is at home and Bobby Stoops doesn't know what he's bitten off...blah blah blah. as i recall OU wins that game 44-3. as it turns out, that's a lot of Nate Hybl swing passes and O for us. Korey Klein scores for the D.

Hybl's bro seems to have the golf team back on track....Ragan was a clown. they make the NCAA's this year.

the late BE had a real chance to actually "play" the Roy Williams position....until the shoulder injury.

living here in CO, i was always a fan of Fisher Deberry. good old boy, ran the option....what's not to like?

God Rest His Soul, tragic what happened to him a few weeks ago in Texas.

I think that hit on the sideline on that poor air force cadet was the hardest hit I have ever seen. I was at the game as well and I cringed when I heard it. My ex wife asked me if he was going to live right afterward and all I could do was stand there with my jaw dropped. . .
