Erasure - got the new album and going to see them live

Post by KatMode »

I've been a huge fan of Erasure for over 10 years now. Just a couple years ago, I FINALLY got to see them live. I have to say, out of the many shows I've seen in my life, that concert was one of the funnest ones ever. I don't think I stopped smiling until the show was over. Erasure's new album Nightbird is more subdued than their previous albums and sounds more like their older 80's stuff than newer albums. It's pretty decent.

At least Erasure is different from every other band out there and doesn't sound like some bullshit Pearl Cream wannabe. And there's something about a guy singing "When I was a little girl..." that makes me giggle. LOL

Andy Bell (lead singer) found out recently that he has AIDS (I've been waiting for that news to happen for years). So this concert is especially important to me because there's no telling how much longer Andy will still be around.

i like the communards better, but dig erasure nonetheless.

i don't agree though, that they are uber original...

rack you, and thanks for the A I D S 411.

considering what a freaking flamer that guys is, yeah - seems like he should've contracted that shit yearrrrrs ago.

ps: great. now oh l'amour is streaming through my brain.

Erasure are kickass

Though I was always amused by the fact that Vince Clark used to be in a band called Yazoo with Alison Moyet on lead vocals
Then he went to start Erasure with Andy Bell who sounded freakily like Alison Moyet ( though he can sing a lot higher) after he & Alison had a bustup & went their separate ways
You just can't fix stupid...trust me I've tried
