Was out with a friend the other day who told me that things were lining up such as Obama snubbing Israel, floods, earthquakes, (just small things at this point-like tiny mama contractions just starting). The downfall of wealth, health and freedom and people are just apathetic. Whereas in our country long ago there would be outrage and action. The world has turned their back on God and God will turn his wrath on us? I'm like, whoa, where did this come from? I tend to be a little spiritual but I'm not really a believer and find Christians kind of annoying. She insisted with a smile how amazing that everything is becoming true to the word.

There is no shortage of dumbfucks who've made these claims over, say, the last half million years. But everyone thinks the events of their generation are unique. They're not, and your friend is a dumb whore who'd make better use of her dick sucker by actually sucking some dicks.

People are objects of wrath due to the reality that they are spiritually captured by satan.
Wrath is already on them.

Adam and Eve left God and died a spiritual death on that very day.

"Ultimate failure" would be the inability to differentiate between right and wrong without the threat of a boogyman.

Dins, I don't think Christians necessarily show themselves to know right from wrong better than non-believers do.
In fact, it often seems that the opposite is true.

It might be that there is a misunderstanding of what I've said - or of what the Gospel is.

People are spiritual captives.
It doesn't matter what they try to do, they can't get out of what they are.
Awful suffering and ultimate failure is a man's fate.

But God didn't leave us alone in that fate.
He skipped right over Adam and gave us the solution - which is not of Adam's seed.

It's very very simple to get out of the awful fate.
I urge all who read this to do so.

i think ye old buddha said something similar. then he said to walk the middle way, stop being an asshole, and whoa everything's cool. better than trying to convince people that yes, the world is 6000 years old, and no, you're not crazy.

I don't think the world is 6,000 years old.

Buddah, while bright and influential, is in his grave.

oh ja, i forgot that some parts of the book are literal and others metaphorical depending on how it suits your purpose.

of course the buddha's in his grave. people die. maybe one day he and jesus will find their way into the same gas tank.

The Bible doesn't talk about the age of the earth.
We are told that God created the earth in the beginning, but are not told when the beginning was.

Such things could be interesting to discuss, but they are not why the Bible was written.

The Bible was written to point us to our salvation - John 5:39, John 20:31.

John 20:31
But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God;
and that believing ye might have life through his name.

The Bible is about baseball.....it starts "In the big inning........."
